Sorry not sorry on this one, tried it a few times over the years and to me deserves barely a 4.  There just are far better music/rhythm games than this.  I'm not sure what it is, CRT or LCD on this, but getting the timing down largely sucks, something about the visual vs audio queues, really not sure anymore as it has been at least 1-2 years since I last had it.  Other than the first couple stages it's a chore and a stuggle, you think you hit the note at the right moment and nope, and nope some more, you may not even really catch it and then fail.  I'd rather go through something very well implemented like Guitar Hero PS2/PSP, FF Theaterhythm 3DS/etc, various DDRs on gamepad, etc than this one.  I mean I can think of stuff far worse like that no queues need good musical sense disaster rhythm heaven franchise Nintendo crapped out, so it gets some points for not being worse than it is, because the music was fun, and the animation was pretty entertaining.
