    Sunday afternoon & evening is normally my go-to play time. Being 3 hours behind Eastern time is never in my favor either! I just putzed around today and decided to give Recca some attention

    Thanks for the clarification. It has been a long time since I heard about this (probably 2015), so it's very fuzzy! I'm so much happier playing on real hardware!

    I forgot to mention: in the past it has been considered unkuth to switch hardware platforms mid-week. Hopefully, @BeaIank and @guillavoie will forgive me this time. It took some time to get a clone copy of Recca on the cheap! I love emulating on the PSP, but I really do prefer the big screen.

    Score updated. I joined the million point club and locked in my spot as 9th place prince . I do really like this game. I think this was a fun choice to spice up the weekly contest library. I enjoy it much more than Star Force

    I've improved my score, but haven't bothered to post it until I figure out the mechanics of this game. I think my last run was yesterday or the day before. I wish I didn't have to emulate this week. I really have grown fond of using the big screen.

    That seems a bit extreme We could always play for low score, furthest progression (or perhaps something else we've not thought of). Even just furthest progression might be okay. But I can agree that for high score, this is a mega grind!

    This is what I was doing initially, but decided there had to be a faster way. So I tried the POW block, hoping the enemies couldn't hit me (and they don't). I would only kill one or two enemies at the start of the level so that the icicle would appear, but the fireballs would not. I felt this made the farming go about 20%-30% faster (7 seconds to respawn and hit versus 10 seconds). Still, it's a long grind.

    I'm not sure. That was a brutal week. I've never been so proud to get 7th place!
