Welcome!

I'm looking forward to the next movie, even though the previous two have been mediocre. I'm not Star Wars junkie so I actually appreciated how The Last Jedi shook things up. Here's hoping the next one is at least interesting, if not great.

Welcome! I collected games for most of my life, but really found joy in the hobby when I got involved at NA. That same passion for the hobby seems to have carried over here. Enjoy!

While I feel a great sense of regret for derailing this thread by bringing up the topic of butt-wiping position, I feel an even greater sense of pride.
Team stand-to-wipe forever! (except when there are those damn automatic flush sensors)

I enjoy StarCraft 2, but that's it. The combination of high level chess-like strategy and intense micromanagement of individual units is really entertaining. Unfortunately the barrier to entry is quite high because the casters don't always explain the important minutiae well.

I have grips very similar to this for my Switch and 3DS. The more things change...

Without all sides, most CIB collectors probably wouldn't be interested. You might get a 10% premium from a non-CIB collector, but if I'm looking to get a box, I'm looking to get a mint box.

I went all digital for PS4 and in the end I HATED IT. Looking back on years of games that I bought to play and then didn't like and I'm just fully out of pocket on them sucked ass. Even just getting a tenner for a game I paid full price for would have been nice.
I totally appreciate that line of thinking, but I'm a hoarder with games. Besides trading in ten SNES games to get $100 off a sexy new PlayStation in 1996 (I regret nothing!), I've essentially never sold any games. Hopefully digital will be a release from the bonds of new clutter and make my wife very happy. New old clutter will probably continue as I eventually finish my NES collection and start something new.

I played through Minit on Xbox game pass this evening. Really cool puzzle adventure game. Each life is 60 seconds as you traverse accross the map to complete your quest. Puzzles and light combat throughout. Almost like a very shortened Zelda experience. Only took about 2 hours to best. Well worth it for the gameplay and soundtrack.
That game looks great!
I'm working on finishing Headlander tonight. It was kind of meh, but at the price of (essentially) free on Game Pass, I'm satisfied.

That is freakin' fantastic. I love the subdued, retro art style. I don't love the d-pad eye, but that is being ridiculously nitpicky.

I should just stop being stupid and buying physical copies of PS4/Xbox one and buy digital so I can pre-load them.
This is the last generation of physical media for me. For PS5 and Xbox Two I'm going all digital baby. I'm finally ready.

Nice Shot!

Gotta love those anticipation blocks. Especially when they lead to a goal.

You know what to do. You are the goalie. The unsung hero. The game doesn't stop to give you a replay, but we do.

This is it. The place for your most glorious goals. Share away.

Some of the best assists go totally unappreciated. Share them here for a pat on the back.

That good, eh? Or bad, as in "I never would have played this game otherwise"? I've been meaning to pick it up.
For me it was bad. I played it on deployment (AKA almost unlimited free time) and still felt it wasn't worth playing. But I seem to be in the minority. Most people loved it.

The animation is fantastic. Really impressive.

Cedar Point all the way. So many amazing childhood memories riding the Raptor and Mantis (R.I.P.).

Blazing ChromeI forgot about Cuphead since I played it on Xbox. That and Celeste make for 2D heaven. Haven't tried Blazing Chrome.

Assuming you're talking about the pack in slips that came with games, they were used for marketing purposes and to collect data. Sometimes I'd get mailers from companies that I sent the reg card into which included everything from postcards advertising upcoming releases to VHS promo videos.
This is pretty much it. This data gathering allowed for targeted marketing when demographics weren't as easily accessible as they are today. They would occasionally throw you a bone like a poster, coupon, or chance to buy directly from the company. In the PS1 days, registering might even net you a free demo disc for an upcoming game. That's how I got my God of War demo disc.

goose ejected and didn't make it....
Wait, are you saying Goose ejected out of a Top Gun cartridge and into this copy of Captain Skyhawk and has been hidden as an unlockable Easter egg that can only be accessed by spelling out Anthony Edwards in Morse code? Because that's quite a claim and I don't believe it.

This is a cool idea for a challenge. If you stream, you should get your attempts online.
