  1. No worries, thanks for the input. Cut looks fine on mine as well no fraying. What's the story with the guy in Georgia? Never heard about that. I have considered opening mine as well @MrMooseMoose. Given the info and feedback certain its a re seal just need to determine authentic or not and guess that's the only way!
  2. Hey thanks for chipping in, they do indeed look very similar! Mine also seems to have the weight, however the case and art look mint, so are we thinking retailer reseal? Can I ask where you sourced yours from?
  3. @GPX Really appreciate the effort. There are certainly a range of seals, I think you are spot on a direct comparison with other Sonic 3 games is likely the best chance to validate either way. The points @darkchylde28 has made regarding hang tab, material etc stand out for me and my gut says there is something off. Let's see what shows up.
  4. Yeh I’m not comfortable with it either, hence the ask. I think the negatives outweigh the positives to be honest.
  5. Thanks for the head up on that, I don't have a comparison point sadly, taking a quick look over some completed eBay auctions the seal does seem similar. What would you say that feel and sound is like?
  6. Thanks, really interesting topic actually and you raise some good points. It does appear to be the latter, i.e. more stiffer style material. Having not paid to much attention to Genesis seals in the past (I'm a Mega Drive collector and in general neither PALK nor Japanese releases came shrink sealed, although some Akklaim/Konami games did) and now starting to do some research there are certainly a lot of unanswered questions, the hang tab issue being one.
  7. Hi guys, looking for some help please. I have had this in my collection for a few years, picked it up in a trade. I was considering passing it on so took it out of storage for some pics. I’m no expert in Genesis seals so what’s the thoughts on this, also after a close look the “Sega” logos on the artwork look to be slightly blurred only slightly but raises a small flag for me. Loads more pics here; https://imgur.com/a/UDgJ2EY Thanks in advance.
  8. @OptOut Thanks for the shout out, not for me I'm afraid, not obscure enough but some good stuff @ great prices and for anyone undecided I say - buy from this guy!!! Now
  9. @fcgamer Ha! It’s going nowhere, took me long enough to get it off the island!!
  10. Hi @BreaKBeatZ I have a CIB Rolling Thunder 2 if you are interested PM me. Some pics here: https://imgur.com/a/lYDc0kB Thanks
  11. Hi everyone, as some of you know I am an avid collector of the obscure and have a passion for documenting Asian region Sega games, by Asian I mean those released in Singapore, Taiwan , Hong Kong, The Philippines etc, not those released in Japan and Korea. Thanks to @OptOut I recently picked up an Asian Mega-CD game, The Space Adventure and after some research it was evident there is very little info on this rather niche library of games. I have decided to try and research and record the games released in the region. To do that I need some support, if you have Asian region Mega-CD, please share your knowledge to help the greater good and other collectors. As far as I can tell there are both PAL and NTSC region games out there (pretty normal for Asia given the different TV standards), however all the games I have found so far seem to have the standard European artwork with modifications/stickers for each region. The following list includes confirmed releases backed up by pics from myself and shamelessly borrowed from others. PAL Asian Jurassic Park (670-5311-11) Tomcat Alley (670-5350-11) Yumemi Mystery Mansion (670-5106-11) NTSC Asian The Space Adventure (T-143015-11) Dungeon Explorer (TBC)
