  1. I'll give you a hint, they are doing much worse. I can't make you look up the statistics though. Just know that more than enough people across the country are refusing to wear masks (selfish pieces of garbage) so our numbers continue to climb at a ludicrous and totally preventable rate.
  2. Not great, but nice try. Check the population vs case count of California, Florida, Texas, and Arizona and then try again.
  3. I live in a county that is probably split 50/50. To the south, west, and east are all strongly Trump country. Any time I've had to venture to a store in one of these areas (not too often) the amount of people not wearing masks increases dramatically. Even worse it's typically older people, like 45+ not wearing them. Also look at the states blowing up, for the most part they are pretty red states, I don't think it's a stretch to draw that conclusion, but honestly it doesn't matter. Enough people are behaving selfishly and putting everyone they come into contact with at risk, and that's got to stop regardless of any beliefs.
  4. Yeah, sadly the ones who don't care aren't usually impacted until it's gotten much worse. I'm guessing we will reach that point by the end of August in Ohio.
  5. I'm glad things are going well down by you. Ohio is doing terribly up here though, we already had to convert extra space to ICU units and those are full. People still aren't wearing masks and it's mandatory in my county and our neighbor to the north. Things are getting more ugly here by the day, and there isn't really an end until drastic changes are made.
  6. Yeah, thankfully at least a few of them are doing a good job with it. If people want an example of what not to do I'd say check out Florida
  7. I get very impressed by the gymnastics, also how political a virus can be too.
  8. Guess that's the end of our discussion dude, your defense of Trump and the US government is literally if they tell you to jump off a bridge, would you. It's absolutely his fault as well as that of the WHO (initially). The increase from June to now is 100% on our government here though.
  9. So I don't think you're understanding me at all, or arguing just for the sake of it. Just answer me this because maybe I'm misunderstanding you. Is Trump and the US government responsible for the current status of Covid here in the US?
  10. Thanks man, planning on giving it a full read shortly! I don't understand the level 3 being applied to anywhere outside of the heaviest zones (pretty much any large city here), but in all honesty I think the mask mandate should be statewide before our problems do spill over into the smaller counties.
  11. I literally just said the WHO caused part of this because of their actions (lies/omissions). Trump butchering the national response even when he had tons of good information coming in from doctors across the country is in him. I voted for Trump in 2016 to try something different, before you just assume I'm on a bandwagon to hate the guy. He has contributed to 135,000+ deaths in the US by botching the response. He even had the blueprint from several European and Asian countries, and still managed to screw it up.
  12. Dude, get over the shit with the WHO, nobody is denying that this was made substantially worse by their decisions at the beginning. The United States is far worse off from Covid due to incompetence among leadership and selfish, ignorant people, not the WHO.
  13. Yet every country outside of the United States seemed to figure that out and we didn't. Trump and most of our states governors chose to ignore the advice of millions of healthcare professionals, and now a vast majority of Covid deaths and people living with permanent heart or lung damage is on their heads. That's going to be great for healthcare costs down the road in the US.
  14. No possible way for us to figure it out, just one of the great mysteries of the world. Thanks for the reply too, it's always better to hear from actual people instead of our wonderful news sites out there!
  15. I just want @Estil to respond to my Covid comment, and you guys get to have all of the fun over semantics . This thread is bs
  16. It's not too early to tell. Don't bury your head and look at the actual statistics. Stuff that I've posted in the Covid thread is occuring in line with when I said it would, and I'm no virus expert. Trump and a lot of governors have royally screwed up, but when they notice the cost in other areas maybe then they will admit it.
  17. It's been really quiet in here lately, I'm curious how things are going in other parts of the country. Are masks required where you are? Have any businesses closed back down or moved to carryout only? Also it's weird that the lag I was talking about is starting to show up again. The people on TV told me Covid was getting better and only seemed to be increasing because we are testing more people. Either way I hope you're all safe and distancing as best as you can.
  18. Man stuff like this makes me wish I had learned more business and economics than medicine. I would probably have just as much if not more money and be significantly less angry
  19. Yeah that would be misleading as hell, I've pretty much stopped watching news on it because it's so depressing. I hope everyone is ready for this to continue/revert back to lockdowns through the end of the year, all because people are selfish and ignorant.
  20. I mean if that's the sole criteria they based it on then yeah that's nuts. I guess at this point it's about to get out of control in this state anyways so it's not like the levels really matter.
  21. I'd assume it's high risk because of three neighboring counties where cases are out of control. I mean I hope it doesn't increase rapidly in Clermont, and their rates aren't why it's considered high risk would be my guess.
  22. So I had to look where Clermont is, but seeing the counties surrounding Clermont it makes sense to me. I don't think it's excessive to try and prevent it from catching up to the neighboring counties, we definitely don't want to become a lost cause like Texas or Florida.
  23. Sadly we're going to need a lot more of this before people start wearing masks. They mandated them in our county yesterday because of how high spread is, and at the place we picked food up from nobody except servers and one or two guests had a mask on. I'm starting to feel like a broken record at this point, and have given up saying anything to friends or family who won't follow the guidelines. I just let them know we won't be seeing them for the foreseeable future other than on video calls.
  24. It was a late release in the US so harder to find. The seal does look good, I'm not sure what someone would pay for it. I'm looking for a copy myself but not sealed.
