  1. Anybody know if Monster Rancher DX 1&2 has a physical release or plans on one?
  2. I wish I could say I can’t relate, but I can. It’s on mine as well. I tend to not look at the backlog.
  3. Thanks for all the recommendations everyone! I’m going to include Brigandine: Legend of Forsena as it is a personal favorite. Also there are some of these I am going to check out myself.
  4. I believe Battle network is 1-6. is there a place or way to find out which of these are coming out physically?
  5. From what he has told me about his play history he’s wide open as long as it’s RPG, but I’d say the RPG he played the LEAST was tactics type games.
  6. I've got a friend that has never played a PS1 or PS2. He's a huge RPG fan and, more or less, asked what games he should look into. So, if you were in my spot what games would you recommend? And would you recommend they play in a certain order?
  7. Nintendo Switch: Triangle Strategy. I really like this game, but man some of the story sequences are long. Still I'm a sucker for tactics games and this one plays like a refined Final Fantasy Tactics. Nintendo DS: Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney. Still trying to figure out why I put this down so long ago. My guess is I got stuck on some part and just gave up. PS4: Mega Man Legacy: Playing through this with my kiddo. We've beat 1 - 5. Currently working on 6. I absolutely spam the ever loving crap out of the save feature on this. I still get frustrated at parts, haha.
  8. That’s a good chunk. I’ve thought about going after a set but man it’s intimidating.
  9. I just learned about this by accident. I will be getting this soon!
  10. Oh man I am terribly indecisive about this. RetroCollect: It's an app that has a website I've never used. I like it, but you do have to pay for it. You can buy a system or bundle. It never did everything I wanted it to do, and it had some bugs at one point. I think they have the bugs worked out. I still use it, albeit sporadically. Gameye: It's a free app. Adding games was super easy. I think it uses PriceCharting for its prices. Something turned me off from it, but I can't remember what. Probably just some feature I wanted or didn't like. GameValueNow: It's a website. It kept crashing or wasn't available, and I don't think it has been updated for a while. I loved the interface though. I quit using it because of its lack of availability. PriceCharting: I guess this is one of the most popular. Has some nice features, some features you have to pay for. As others have said the prices can be off, but this is what I am currently using in tandem with The old fashioned spreadsheet: Yup. It's a spreadsheet.
  11. Date 2/27/2022 Kids Age: 7 Game Name: Transformers Devastation System: PS4 I realize it has been a while since I posted one of these. My kids have discovered Roblox and have spent the majority of their gaming time playing that. New game every 5 minutes if that's what you wanted to do with it. Way different than when I was growing up. You had a handful of games and had played them so much you could beat them blindfolded. This game was a little bittersweet for me. My son's gaming skills have gotten to the point where he can handle most of the game on his own. I'm happy to see this, but I'd be lying if I didn't admit I'm gonna miss the "Dad help me with this" times. There were a couple of those, though. I've got to say that this game was the Transformers episode that I wanted to be in when I was a kid. The game felt like you were playing through the cartoon series from the graphics to the voices, even the scene transitions. It did a fantastic job of smashing all those nostalgia buttons. It absolutely hooked us right away, too. The tutorial had you fighting freaking Devastator. I mean if that doesn't have you chomping at the bit for more, then Transformers might not be for you. I also appreciated the fact that there were plenty of helpful "push this button to do this" hints that popped up on the screen. Especially after we had let the game sit for a couple of weeks. The game has a good assortment of Autobots you can choose from, but we primarily stayed with Optimus Prime. We did play with Grimlock for a little bit, and tried out some of the others, but we always came back to Optimus. You fight a ton of the Decepticons too. Wonderful assortment of characters. The game goes complete old school on the last stage when you have to fight all of the previous bosses leading up to your final confrontation with Megatron, which was awesome. In this last stage you have to fight Devastator and Menosaur at the same time, which prompts Optimus to say "This ... will be difficult." I found that hilarious. The only time my son really needed help was the two battles in outer space with Starscream and Megatron respectively. The camera was absolutely disorienting in those battles. There is a weapon upgrade system that we completely ignored. The game clocked in at about 7 hours and each chapter was about an hour with tons of clean stopping points throughout. It really was laid out well. I felt like this game was a passion project. favorite line from my son at the beginning of the game, "Daddy is his name Possumus Prime or Awesomeus Prime." I cracked up. This was his introduction to Transformers. He's officially a fan. On a side note I bought this game used from GameStop, and it was a formal rental. Only PS4 rental game I have ever seen.
  12. thanks for that! I was able to grab both of those and Ghost Runner.
  13. Title pretty much covers it. I was looking for Game Gear protectors and it got me wondering what your favorites site or sites are. Let me know!
  14. It is. I’m hoping they refine Retro Bowl somewhat as well. Mostly optimize it where you don’t have to pay to advance things, or speed up said advancement. motion controls aren’t really my thing, so a controller will be nice. Right now the game plays a lot like Great Football for the SMS as in you only play offense. So, it’ll be interesting to see if defense will be added.
  15. Retro Bowl is going to get a release on the Switch! I’m hoping it gets a physical release. It may be the first digital game I intentionally purchase for Switch depending on price point.
  16. I understand cardboard needing box protectors. What about the games that come in hard plastic cases initially? Like DS, SMS, PS1, PS2, etc. What do you all think?
  17. I view it this way as well. 6 different cover variants of Asteroids vs Meteors? Pick the one you want and check the game off the list.
  18. To me, going for every variant of every game for the Switch is just to much. I do think going for every game is achievable though. Not initially on release. I don’t understand pursuing it that way. Most games still go down, initially, in value. Then again, if that’s how people want to spend their money more power to them.
  19. Physical Disco Elysium. Yes Please. I’m really excited for this.
  20. I haven't started putting my collection in a database yet. I was thinking of using GVN because I like the interface, but based on everything that is going on I am wondering if it is worth the time? Should I just use a different one?
  21. This would have been the best possible news for me.
  22. https://www.ebay.com/itm/ZombiU-Nintendo-Wii-U-2012-Zombi-U-Not-For-Resale-NFR-Pack-In-/253770173497?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286 I mean, if you’re a variant collector. It’s a variant. this listing is live if anyone wants it. I’m not affiliated with the listing in anyway.
  23. Take any information I have on variants at your own risk. I’ve never seen Starfox as anything other than a bundle. Although you could piece it together from GameStop back in the day. Also 5 below had them at one point. From everything I can tell there is no difference between the U’s and you absolutely could count that as a variant. Luigi U is the only Wii U game I ever saw with a green case. If that sort of thing is important to you.
  24. Awesome! You need to add Shakedown Hawaii. Other than that it’s a complete list of games BUT NOT a complete list of variants.
