  1. The problem is there’s so many nes games that I would just never want to play again and looking at what’s left most I would describe as a punishment. If there was only a handful left I would commit to do some but I don’t know how realistic finishing the list is at this point. Scary did you stick with wizardry? I enjoyed it but it was stressful, I wasn’t really familiar with that type of game when I played it and I used the players guide.
  2. I did digger t rock cause it doesn’t seem like anyone else ever wants to do it even though it’s not a bad game and it can be done in less than a half hour
  3. Yeah we had it growing up, so it’s an easy one for me to pick up and play especially considering how short it is, I love the walls I wish there was a game where it was like 100 levels of different walls it’s part strategy it’s part puzzle and just the dexterity or whatever to control the guy it’s a fun challenge
  4. #freebimmylee I’ll be back when I can compete against brocklanders and skinnygrinny until then…
  5. I mostly remember being annoyed with it there was definitely some interesting designs in there but I just got tired of it and ended up selling it when the time walk stuff started going for crazy prices
  6. I do the nyt crossword most days anyway I thought the grid today might be interesting to some
  7. You get the big man message by whipping willie at the end instead of just walking up to her. I’m sure the manual is helpful but the hardest part of the game is the wave after you collect the stones you have to use a map to find a secret exit. Growing up this was near impossible now just check online your map to the matching room to the appropriate exit location.
  8. Digger t rock done as a kid I struggled so much on this game but it’s really pretty easy and is much more enjoyable to play than spelunker or boulder dash
  9. Temple of doom finished, I feel like I’m the only one that likes this game
  10. Yeah I found the thread just by searching mutant ‘virus strategy guide nes’ and it pulls it up on some archive site. But the maps aren’t there, I vaguely remembered them and I was able to find them on the guys blog about beating the game he says they’re from NA, I just couldn’t remember if you or some else from the thread made them but they’re almost essential. If you’re still working on perfecting a run I’ll message you later with what I did on level 5.
  11. 2! Miracle I’m still on the fence about it. When I started 10 years ago I didn’t plan on doing it because I didn’t consider it a game. The last few years I’ve kinda changed my mind to “might as well” but crabmaster mentioned to me a few of the lessons are glitched there’s a work around but it makes me less inclined to want to do it. Plus last time I looked I couldn’t find the foot pedal thing so that’s still up in the air. The last game will take me about 10 minutes finish.
  12. The mutant virus wow! First thanks to @guitarzombie for all the info and the maps posted in hoskats blog were very helpful, although I kinda adapted my own strategy for level for 4. I had made it there yesterday but had to turn my system off for the night, today my nes has been on since very early and I was finally able to pass level 4. I tested level 5 a few times and it didn’t seem so hard, I took a break watched some hoops and went back to it without much of a strategy but I started to develop one and came close a few times(2 rooms left and core broke down). I decided to give it a few more tries knowing I’d probably end up shutting off the nes for the night but what do you know things fell into place and with my last life I was able to clear the final room(number 8). It’s a very interesting game if it wasn’t for the controls it really wouldn’t be so hard, id say a top ten difficulty though because of the awkward controls and lack of passwords. Overall it’s a good game and the cut scenes are well done. I could see my self going back for a replay in the future.
  13. Hey congrats, very cool to hear it’s an unreal amount of dedication. I’d really like to discuss difficulties with you as soon as I finish.
  14. I encountered one of the many joys of playing everything on the original system... a dead battery! So I was too lazy to change it right away and did last starfighter. Then I did replace the battery but I was more in the mood for a just perform game, basically mindless nothing to learn simple controls just do it, so that was arkanoid. I’ve done the other koei games I always enjoy them almost to the point of obsession. Once I start I can’t get it off my mind, so the biggest hurdle for me has always been the starting. But probably best to let @Daniel_Doyce do it because I can’t be sure I’ll finish in time even if I start soon.
  15. Not sure about all the modes but there’s definitely an ending screen where your character is wearing like a crown or something
