  1. I had access to a x-band modem before, that is a work around somewhat for the Doom experience on SNES. That one opens up some options with deathmatch and a level select too.
  2. The diameter of the ball is around 2 1/4 inches and as long as (with any non arcade ball) you keep the sensors clean inside it seemingly works excellent for games that would want a ball or I would think even a spinner too which has a similar function.
  3. I just use an original modded Gameboy as it makes the most sense just using what Nintendo made, except for a nicer lit up screen. I wouldn't touch the analogue device, they never make enough, charge too much, then at least with the pocket and it's dock have product issues. Wasn't this thing shaving off game gear and gameboy stickers?
  4. How about an oversized (arcade sized) center set PC usb trackball? Kensington makes one, their Expert Mouse Wireless Trackball. Big red ball, ring around that is a mouse wheel and around that yet are 4 buttons for mouse control. It's very easy to use for arcade trackball games and then use your other hand on whatever button is best to shoot.
  5. I remember these when I was just about done doing this stuff online, and those prices seem right. I wouldn't drop more than what they sold for originally if that maybe. They're just glorified bootlegs of the originals and people have done more and better in some ways since. This is a niche within a niche, within a fanboy service as you'd have to just care about that dead group, what they did, and what the game is, and that's a lot of IFs. Drop a high value and let it wait with offers, or start it at the old new price from back then and see what happens.
  6. That's a nice spread of Japanese Nintendo games there and I can relate as I own all four, though three of them are the US versions, but still that's solid variety that will last. That earlier post about the caravan collection it is very minimalist, and if you have the old FC games or NES releases other than eating up more space, it's not a bad way to go sticking to the originals. They updated them lightly, like Ninja Gaiden Trilogy was, nothing crazy good like Mario Allstars with an upgrade.
  7. Eh they're a fun alternative, I'm not against them, more for than against. I don't mind how good they've become, and I'm kind of pleased they have gone that far because the quality would have gone up as well so they'd last from a durability perspective. I'm used to old famiclone, gameboy copy and other carts from the 80s and 90s and they still hold up. I would never trust a bootleg made in the last decade before this as the quality bottomed out. I guess I'm more old school, my time was the roms, release, hacks era of the later 90s.
  8. Long time lurker just starting to post. I've owned this game before, and it never did anything for me and haven't had it in such a long time it wasn't worth much even then. It's just not that fun. There is variety, but it's sloppy in execution. I would have liked it more if you could just equip talents like Mega Man and that's that, but the swap outs and how clunky it is kept me from going more than half way in and having my care cup run dry.
  9. Cave Noire is something that would need a translation to enjoy it all, the menus thankfully are mostly in hiragana and katakana so if you have a very basic understanding or can sound out the katakana most of it would be fine until you get into buying things. That I would recommend a guide for or a cheat sheet you could type up and print out small to keep with the game, or save on your phone.
