Some Atari games for Survivor were okay. But I don't think I'd ever play any of them outside of that.
I feel the same way about N64

I really don't hear it all that often... my rock station doesn't seem do mandatory metallic or get the Led out blocks these days... they do play a ton of Bon Jovi's Living on a prayer

I like the hooks and choruses.. and the verses are kind of bland

I think the brackets are full, unless Fox adds more..

It is pretty well regarded among the Atari library, but it never really clicked for me.

Been working my way through Snow Crash. I wasn't sure what to expect going in, but I definitely didn't think I'd be getting almost dadaist levels of absurdist humor. It often feels like a post-ironic satire of the old internet from a modern perspective at times, despite having come from that era. Pays tribute to the campiness of old sci-fi and the political satire of Carpenter's They Live.
Aside from a few moments that feel outwardly sexist or xenophobic in a way that doesn't quite sit well even as supposed satire, it's generally a very enjoyable experience and unlike anything else I've read.
It's been a long time since I read it, but I recall thinking it had some, fun characters and humor, cool world building and memorable set pieces, but it also had a bunch of boring exposition sections trying to make the Snow Crash virus seem plausible, and overall was a bit of a slog.

+First 30 minutesOkay:
Zoe Kravitz
Second 30 minutesYawn:
-Rest of the movie (all 115 minutes of it)
-Plot, or lack thereof
-Andy Serkis (great actor, but he's basically a plot device in the movie)
-Jeffrey Wright (great actor, but his Jim Gordon character sounds like he would rather be anywhere but Gotham)
-Political Commentary (really?)Overall, I would give it a 65 out of 100 -- it had some great ideas, great actors, great music, great cinematography, but poor dialogue, poor direction, poor plot. I honestly can not recommend it. However, it's a great starting place for a hopefully much better sequel!
I remember pausing it to get up at one point, thinking it was nearly over and being SHOCKED it was only halfway.

Nathan Fielder (and Benny Safdie) have done it again! Finished watching The Curse. What a ride! If you're a fan of Nathan Fielder then you will love this show. It's not funny in the ha ha sense but because of the layers, the setups (sometimes over several episodes) and how much it pokes fun at western culture. Emma Stone was also amazing in her role.
It's not a show for everyone and definitely not a show that everyone will see the appeal of or get, but if you like Nathan Fielder's work I think you will enjoy it. If Andy Kaufman was still alive today I think he would have loved this show.
Now the painful wait for season 2 of The Rehearsal.
The finale was bonkers

I don't love this one, but its definitely worth watching.

I didn’t remember if I played it for Survivor so I checked the thread and I got penalized for not submitting times so I guess I didn’t. Not surprised, browser based N64 emulation is pretty dodgy.

The fact that TWO different commercials during the Super Bowl this year used 'Flashdance What a Feeling' just confirms that it should have been on the list over Maniac
Maniac is pretty iconic!
I lost it when the guy started doing the choppy legs dance...

You are generally a positive guy, but your reviews are honest and I didn't know how this would land since it's both more complex than a 2600 title but it's also very much a product of it's time and they systems limitations.
I'm not that surprised since I'm also a 2600 & a NES Metroid fan

Wizard of Wor:
according to the promotional material, the challenge score to earn this was 30k which I think is probably too easy.
on the other hand, the "top game score" 99,500 they advertised would probably be a little too hard...
-
Wizard of Wor is done.
The medal score for this one is probably too low, but this was the actual challenge score from CBS electronics so it is what it is. I'm not really compelled to keep pushing as the game was kind of glitchy for me. Not sure if that was just an emulator issue or a problem with the cart too…- 6
Song Debate #14: The Message / 24K Magic
in Everything Else

The Message is the kind of rap song that people are referring to when they talk about 80s rap being kind of milquetoast. I seem to remember SNL doing a sketch about it...
