This is pretty much exactly what I figured!

Not selling it to me, sorry 😆

You should watch some of the earlier episodes such as Space Madness and In The Army. They're genuinely hilarious and ahead of their time. The show got much worse when the original creator was fired.

Agreed. Crash 2 is the peak of the series. Crash 1 is definitely more challenging IMO but 2 is the perfect balance. 3 was too easy imo

I thought that 3 got hard at the end. I never beat it, but I beat the first two.

That’s funny you must’ve read my mind cause when you posted the other day I meant to comment that you should just do bad street brawler I remember you mastering it after the weekly a few years ago

Yeah. I was less rusty than I thought I'd be. I actually reached the last level on my first attempt. But it took me some tries to finally beat it.

What's the deal with save states for long games? Is it acceptable to save state at the end of a play session to alleviate the whole "leave your console on for days straight" issue? There are a couple games I'm looking at with infinite continues/ lives, but they're long and don't have passwords or save functionality.

The rules say no save states so leave that console on. 😛

I wasn't even aware of the Turbo Charge as a kid lmao. We just had the cart; no manual! Marble Madness is strangely addicting for how short a game it is.

I remember buying the game from my next door neighbor friend as a kid and then beating it, so I must have known about the boost. I don't remember how I knew... whether I read the manual or I figured it out on my own.

I've also reached the final boss of Silk Worm. That game is pretty manageable until the last stage; its difficulty is average at worst in the first 75% of the game. But that last level... yikes. I can't tell you how much I hate how the invincible missiles suddenly spray bullets in multiple directions as well in the last stage.

The Mexican Runner had to use save state practice for the last boss. That looks like where most of the game's high difficulty comes from.

  7. I love Rollergames. Underrated Konami classic.

Anyway, that's not even close to the last stage. But the way to get through  it is reach the truck with enough health so that you can take some hits and then stay at the bottom left of the screen. Try to either jump the barrels or move right to get under them.

The game gets much harder after this. There's some really tricky platforming coming up.

My preferred character is Hot Flash because she's fast and good at jumping. I've beaten the game deathless with her. But she's the physically weakest of the three.

This is a ten pointer with seven pain points. Perhaps the most unpopular game on the list.

How bad was it to beat? Was it very difficult or just tedious?

EDIT: Never mind. I see you already basically answered this above.

I’ve never heard of this game. I’ll have to look into it.

It uses a special graphics mode that is sort of like an altered text mode. This allows CGA graphics with 16 colors where it's usually like 3 or 4.
