  1. Selling for $45 + shipping. VGPC lists these at a value of $87.05 so this is a nice discount, plus you can avoid tax and save on combined shipping. Everything looks to be in great condition, except the case for Ridge Racer as noted below:

    Marvel Ultimate Alliance - CIB

Ridge Racer [Greatest Hits] - CIB but the case is destroyed. It looks like a dog chomped a bite out of the side.

Twisted Metal Head on - CIB

Need for Speed: Most Wanted - CIB

Hot Shot Golf Open Tee - CIB

    Burnout Legends - CIB

ATV Offroad Fury Blazing Trails - CIB

    Wipeout Pure - CIB

Pursuit Force - Case + UMD (missing manual)

I have to say that Jonebone has been one of the most respected members of the video game community that dates all the way back to the very start of NA and I can tell you that he won't hesitate to call a spade a spade.

There have been so many instances that I would post a sealed game that sold for a very high amount (that Jone owns) in the, "Look at these prices....unreal right?" topic and Jone would quickly say that it shouldn't have sold for that amount or that he was surprised that it fetched that amount, the game isn't worth near that amount, etc.

Another example of Jonebone's true character is when I made a topic called "The one that got away" and he said that his biggest selling/trading regret was trading his perfect conditioned Sqoon box, instead of saying something like selling his sealed Snes VGA 85 first print Super Mario World a few years back when they weren't as valuable as they are now. I know most of us, probably wouldn't have hesitated to say that game, instead of a rare Nes box.

So I know for a fact that he has no alternate agenda other than giving his honest opinion on what is going on in the hobby and with the high end sales on Ebay, Heritage, CertifiedLink, etc.

Jonebone is a true asset to our community and we are lucky to have him here on this forum.

It's OK to like Jonebone and still think Deniz is an asshole con artist. I have the utmost respect for Jone (maybe he does not feel the same way about me) but I disagree with him on this.

I'll add one detailed counter response if anyone cares to read.

You have to watch until the 51 minute part until the agenda becomes clear, he admits hating graded games.  Compare this to any real investigative journalism like 20/20 where they interview all parties, he never bothered to reach out to any of the people he was tarnishing.  Even CNN and professional sites will at least say that so-and-so said "No Comment", when asked; we didn't even get that.

Everything in the video was accurate. I couldn't care less if he hates graded games and whether that influenced him to make the video.

I don't have an exact value, but it is common though in saying that, don't get your hope in values too high on that.  PC game buyers from the old late 80s-90s stuff mostly care about not the game, just the rest, it's where they throw the insane money at it.  If you had the actual box to that, the manual, other random dumb inserts then it could get utterly insane as it mostly was just released on 3.5" and CD.

Keep in mind, though I may be off because of that very variable.  The 5.25" floppies are super super scarce.  Last april, complete in the original box, the game sold to some insane person with 9 bids on ebay for $5000.

A set of old 3.5s can be around $90-150 range on their own.  The complete game will hit around $1500 with those very same discs but also a patch floppy, without one did $400 so there's a huge questionable gap there.   So...the question here, how much are the 5.25's alone on their own, vs how much the specifically made box stickers/manual would be for the complete package too because they wouldn't mention 3.5 but 5.25 on those too.

The CD release is actually the rarest. 5.25" comes after that, and then of course the 3.5" is the most common. Of course any v1.1 Doom disks are great finds, but a CD almost never turns up.

thanks for the advice everyone. I think i might try and get a hold of the manual and box, and either  keep it for fun, or probably put it up for auction. Getting a box is probably going to be difficult, although i did see a few v1.2 packages sold on Ebay in May and June for ~$400, that had the 3.5". Be really nice to just find a box. I think a manual would be pretty easy to get a hold of.

The back of a 1.1 manual is black. In 1.2 and all other versions, the back is red. That makes it tough to frasnkenstein a 1.1 complete copy. As far as I know, all boxes are identical.

They've been trying to recruit talent and reaching out to people for a bit now. Maybe they finally found someone to help them kick things off. If competition produces better products and prices then let's see what the future brings.

I will say that as a very casual card collector, I had no idea they even graded sports cards. It's PSA or BGS or bust there. Wonder if they can carve out a niche here...

Do you know if they have just been trying to recruit graders or if they have also consulted with experts (well established collectors) to get information on grading and identifying fakes?

What sort of prices would you be currently happy with paying on these? Like what amounts would you see them and think wow, that's a pretty good deal, I want to nab! hah

That's a complicated question, because if I'm getting a 50% discount on a game, I would always buy it since I could turn around and sell it for a profit (either right away, or probably down the line assuming prices don't crash). It looks like Hexyz Force sells for around $300, so I would buy it for $150. But if its market value was $150, I wouldn't pay that amount for it.

@BreaKBeatZ Thanks so much for contributing those pics!

    • I believe your pic of L'Empereur is missing the registration card
    • Did you open that copy of Gargoyles Quest II?
    • I believe DuckTales 2 in your pic is missing the epilepsy warning sheet

I'll update the opening post over the next 48 hours. Thanks again! Keep them coming everyone!

Oops on L'Empereur. I will check to see if I have that reg card tonight. I have some other KOEI games boxed with manual - if the reg card is the same, I may have it.

I didn't open any of these games except Master Hu and the Drunkard Chu (shrinkwrap had a big tear so I went ahead and opened it)

I'll add a warning sheet to Duck Tales and send another pic tonight.

Just to add to Trifecta's list, your Captain Comic has the wrong dust cover; the game only ever came sealed with the black Color Dreams sleeve, and it's the only game in their catalog to do so.

This is why I only trust sealed openings... 😉

I must have missed that from The Wiz's list. Feel free to remove that one.

With that being said, since everything on that list came from a sealed opening, as long as the contents match, there should not be any problem. In this case, it was just my fault for not noticing the discrepancy.
