Ugh. With all due to respect to whoever designed that site, it's so freaking ugly. Oh, my eyes.

This is at least readable although the contest thread links don't even work now. It's sad that the site is literally breaking down faster than I can keep up.

Wow, that new site sucks on so many level, I can't even think of a worst way to reboot NA, and of course, the fact it is no longer named NintendoAge is just the cherry on top. These guys totally deliver in the disappointment department, they must want it to fail miserably or they're just 100% disconnected on what they're doing.

Gloves out beat them 100x times in a row with VGS, and he almost did it on his own. This community is all about the good heart of its members, and we have a very good reminder here that money can't buy you no heart.

Let's all make this forum a total success now!

I'd say this forum is already a success, now we can focus on making it even bigger and better!

I hope no one goes an posts any troll posts or hate. Would just make this whole place look bad. I hope people can just let them do their own thing unbothered. They are not in a good place as it stands already.

I agree it's not a good look, but I guess some people want to get a parting shot in anyway.

Point is. People go outside in stupid weather for some really stupid shit.

We are getting some crazy rain here today and tomorrow. I was watching the local news and they had some guy driving around in it with a dashboard camera. They do the same thing on all the local stations when we have heavy snow and ice. That's always seemed beyond stupid to me. It's common sense that the driving conditions are going to be bad. I really don't see the point in sending a reporter out to prove it.

My main goal is to archive them just as they are on NA, so it is going to be either a complete HTML archives or a complete scrolable pictures archives, which would pretty much be what you're looking for my good Krunch!

I managed to find the contest archive page on the "new" NA if anyone wants to use it for a quick reference:

Most of my favorite posters are already regulars over here so I don't care that much what happens to NA. I only hope that the weekly contest archives are saved.

@guillavoie backed up all of the original contest thread archives, so all of the info was saved. I found a link to the main contest archives page if you need it for a quick reference.

In all seriousness though, THIS was why the new site was created. All signs were pointed towards this happening, and there would have been little to no (probably no) notice given. A forum or a community is not important to GoCollect, they're a business. I think the NA staff and community didn't want to be looked at as a commodity, so a new site had to be made. Now we can carry on without needing to worry about the future as we're in good hands. It is a bit sad that NA had to die the way it did, but that's only a banner we all grew under, and a name means nothing without good people on board to make the community fun and worth coming back to day after day.

It is sad to see NA go, especially like this, but luckily this site was made when it was and it looks like almost everyone made it over. This is definitely the cool place to be!

Truth,  It's the 100% effort aspect that's hard to nail.  For myself if I dont get drawn into the game or already have exp with it I just go for a respectable participation and hope for top 8.  I have a feeling next year is gonna get some robust participation, a new fresh start to the site is a blessing in disguise in those ways

I'm hoping to see a bunch of old players come back and there should be plenty of new members by the time next season starts, so hopefully the first official VGS contest season sees the participation level get back to the peak days of the NA contests.

I grew up with gameboy, so I definitely feel the virtual boy sentiments - played the demo units at stores but never owned. One dayyyyy.

Also game gear, always wanted one but never took the plunge. I just found a gamegear a few months back that works great so Ima dip my toes into that library.

Also famicom disk system and neo geo

I remember getting a Game Gear for Christmas when it came out. I thought it had a pretty solid library of games, but it went through batteries like crazy.
