Gutsman last played in the Kabuki Quantum Fighter contest a few months ago, but he only posted a score of 300. No idea if he'll sign up over here.
I just checked and he logged in on NA a few days ago so hopefully he makes his way over here.

I remember hearing that there was a way to unlock Reptile as a playable character in MK1 by winning every match with a double flawless victory in every match. There were similar rumors about Kano and Sonya in MK2 since they were in the background of the Kintaro/Shao Kahn stage.

Miss Clawful just posted something on the old board. Wow.
Thats random. Last I heard I think she was living place to place and selling bead sprite art on Etsy or something and that was several years ago. Speaking of old timers, has Greg/gutsman004 been playing lately? I thought he competed a few times this season, but it doesn't look like he's joined over here yet.

Well let's get some lurkers and OG players in here and having some fun, guy.
That would be cool to get some more of the contest originals over here and joining in to see if we can hang with the current group.

I didn't know I was #43.
Looks like I was #346 and I thought I got here early!

I've never been to Popeyes, but I might have to give it a try the next time I pass one. I usually try to avoid fries, but Cajun fries do sound good.

@Richardhead made me drink an energy drink tonight. I haven't had caffeine since January. And I don't fuck with energy drinks In general because of an incident a few years back. So not only am I gonna be bouncing off the walls causing mischief all night now. I'm already getting jittery, and headache. And maybe even talking too fast.2 hours left of the shift!
So.... What is your go-to "gamer fuel"?
For me Gatorade zero gets me through my longer days. Preferably the lemon - lime. It tastes just like regular yellow Gatorade but without the sugar and calories. It's fantastic.
I mainly drink Powerade Zero anymore to avoid sodas. It comes in 5 flavors and they are all pretty good since I just can't stand plain water.

Avoiding soda is a must. (though I let the kids pick out a "special drink" -- usually Cheerwine or cream soda -- for weekend lunch)
Our big thing was getting into a much better habit of cooking at home. My wife and I both enjoy cooking, and have a pretty good range and spice palate, fortunately.
(and having 2 kids massively suppresses the desire to be lazy and dine out, since keeping up with kids in a restaurant setting is more effort than just cooking at home in the first place)
Right now our big vice is having developed a bit of a craft beer habit, but as we both roll towards 40 years old, we're cutting that back to just a couple nights per week on the weekends. (kind of an expensive habit anyway, aside from the health concerns of even one beer per night, on average, making a woman a "heavy drinker" by CDC standards)
I'm pushing 40 myself and rarely eat at home due to being out and about more often than not so I just try to make healthier menu choices like the grilled chicken and mixed vegetables I had at a diner last night. I had to cut down on the beer too. In my mid/late 20s I could live on beer and chicken wings and not put on a pound, but once I got to my mid 30s it started catching up with me so I had to start cutting back on the sports bar food.

Bearcat is more active than a long time!
That seems to be the case for a lot of people so far and it's great to see! Hopefully the contests get back to when there were as many as 30-40 players in a week too!

If I have to pick one game across all systems it would be Mike Tyson's Punch Out!! It was my favorite game as a kid next to SMB and Mega Man 2, but the fact I didnt finally beat Mike Tyson until almost 15 years later when I got back into playing NES games puts it over the top for me.

If I enjoy a game I will definitely make a point to finish it. Unless it's just terrible, I will try to beat/finish it at least once before moving on to something else.

I mentioned it in the Zelda game thread, but I've still never finished the second quest of The Legend of Zelda even though I must have played the first quest 20+ times.

Happy I get my Sunday back and dont have to suffer thru a Skins game. I'll have the TV on but wont be glued to it.
Man, I can't even make it through a Bengals game. They are seriously back to being mid/late '90s bad.
