For me it's all or none, if I'm gonna play once I need to play every week - I actually did play a little bit of Mario 2 and didnt see the whole year happening for myself, then just said welp maybe next year

I'm the same way. I'm just not sure if I can manage a full season and give 100% effort with everything going on. I figure it would be better to play for fun when I can than not at all.

Honestly I was just getting so busy with my home life (I now have a fiancee, a cat, and a dog) that I just needed a break but really I do have lots of time at home so I will absolutely be joining the fray next year.  Can't wait!  I think my NES is starting to get jealous of my Switch 😕

I hear ya. I've had a rough year so I never got a chance to join in this season. I'm hoping things improve by next year so I can at least join in here and there.

I was going to try to archive a few more of my threads (already saved the three I wanted most though) and was redirected to the link I provided. If I try to look up the particular threads on Google the links now come up as 'This Page Does Not Exist'

I noticed that too. Maybe I need to be using an IBM PS/1 with Netscape Navigator to see anything with that new modern design...

Virtual Boy for me. I had the "pleasure" of trying the demo at blockbuster and it was pretty rad. We was po, though, so none of that for me.

Now in adulthood of course I see it for the gimmick it was and lacking a decent library of good games means it's fallen off the radar.

Maybe one day, if just to display.

I actually owned one when they came out and somehow didn't go blind. Then again I also had a 32X, so I don't know which purchase was more regrettable. As far as the original question goes, I started picking up Game Boy games before I had to sell most of my stuff, so I wish I would have had a chance to build up a bigger library.

Actually I take that back, it looks like it is already functional. All the old threads are currently gone. The site design also looks worse than what NintendoAge was.

It looks about as bland as a newspaper. I couldn't be happier that I made the jump over here!

I have no-deathed both games exactly once.  Not together though!  I could definitely do it though it would take a while...

I figured you would be able to beat them both back to back on 1 life with your eyes closed! 🙂 I actually used to play both games back to back regularly, but it's been a while since I've played either one so I'd probably have to knock the rust off.

Aw, what?  I thought he was hurt all this time, and he's on NXT...interesting...I should give NXT a try.

For the repetitiveness of AEW, I feel it's very mild and maybe it's because the roster is thin and still growing.  I'm not biting on the inner circle thing yet lol.

Balor took time off after his Summerslam loss to The Fiend and just debuted back on NXT and turned heel last week going back to the style of his Prince Devitt character from NJPW. I do think the main issue with AEW is the thin roster, but they still have only been a company for less than a year so I can give them a bit of a pass before being to tough on them.

  8. Looks like I've got AEW and NXT tonight, Crown Jewel tomorrow and Smackdown Friday and NJPW on Saturday. That's with already watching Raw on Monday, NWA and some of Impact yesterday. If there was a Sunday ppv that would make some kind of wrestling program every night this week. I think having options is a good thing, but that's a ton of wrestling to watch in a week. I wish at least one of these shows could get to being "must watch" status. I think a lot to do with the overall drop in quality across the board is the oversaturation in the industry.

My main goal is to archive them just as they are on NA, so it is going to be either a complete HTML archives or a complete scrolable pictures archives, which would pretty much be what you're looking for my good Krunch!

I'm not sure how the whole site ownership thing goes, but wouldn't NA basically own the contest threads? I don't know if the NA logo would need to be removed from picture archives or if even picture archives from the other site is allowed. I really doubt the new owners are that worried about the contest data, but I dont know if that could be a potential issue.

I will come back to this thread after I've had a chance to read it properly and respond.

I don't Love  wrestling any less than I ever have. It its realistically a bigger part of my life than video games ever were. But I haven't been watching much of it lately.

I'm interested to hear your thoughts. If you haven't been watching lately, there's definitely enough content right now (pushing the point of excess). Unfortunately, the increase in quantity hasn't caused a major improvement in quality.

Wow, >70% of the VGS userbase is in their 30s. I would have guessed it was high, but not damn near three quarters high.

I can't say that I'm shocked. I would guess around 70% of the userbase grew up in the NES/SNES days so that would put them in the 30-40 range. It seems like previous polls have had similar results and the long time members are going to keep trending the average age higher.

Being from Minnesota I have no problem going out in a storm, plus having a truck that can get around no problem helps too. Sometimes it’s quite peaceful to head out, even stopping to help people that may have gotten stuck.

Back when I had a 4 wheel drive truck I would agree. Luckily, we haven't had a really bad snow here in Cincinnati in a while so I probably just jinxed us for this year.

Honestly, I think it’s a mix of people being pro-active looky-lues and those who just got to do something to feel “brave” or macho.

Of course, there are also the workaholic managers and single moms working at Pizza Hut who are threatened with a loss of their job if they don’t come in.  Yeah, that happens, because we all know that when you’re snowed in, that’s the perfect time to order a delivered pizza.

Yeah, I know people that will go out driving in awful weather for no reason other than "just to see how the roads are". I was a Dominos driver back in my early 20s and we would get slammed with orders whenever it snowed and not even get a decent tip most of the time even though we were basically risking our lives for minimum wage.
