I don't want a cellphone and I don't need a cellphone, it really is as simple as that.  If either of those two feelings ever change, I'll get one, but until then, I'm good.  It really isn't some counterculture perogative, or lack of funds, or [insert other made up excuse here]; if I was told I had to get one for my job, for example, I'd walk into the store tomorrow...

It doesn't take me ten minutes to take a dump and I honestly don't know wtf is wrong with all the "reading while on the can" people out there in the world - it's like a two minute ordeal, and that includes washing your hands.  Wtf are you guys doing in there?   Shit or get off the pot.

Furthermore, the idea of bringing something from outside a washroom into the washroom with you has always been considered to be absolutely disgusting in our culture, like you've "soiled" the item, so to speak, so I honestly don't know why cell phones are getting a pass...

I really don’t know what you are on about.  Do you not clean your bathroom?  Do you exclusively poop at your local Applebees?  Oh sorry,  I forgot about “our culture”…. I mean Tom Hortons.

I would love to read your 50 favorite RPGs. Getting to 50 franchises is amazing! I love RPGs, but I'm not sure I even touched on 30 different franchises!

I gave Imagination a spin while doing dishes tonight, it was really good. I owe it to myself to give BG an honest listen.

There’s a definite stylistic shift to them you can hear happening in Somewhere Far Beyond and ramping up with Imaginations.  It cannot be stressed enough the importance of giving Nightfall In Middle Earth a whirl.

  3. I find it difficult to believe that anyone “collecting“ and paying large sums for a circle r vs an oval r could possibly be involved for any reason other than as a quirky investment.  I’m small potatoes but I know some of you have pretty monstrous collections in terms of both size and value.  At the end of the day the dudes with the beautiful collections crafted through obsession in the quest for the ultimate game room are the ones with whom I feel kindredship not the guy insisting I’m supposed to care about his first print that he payed way too much for.

  4. Damn you got some nice selections on this page.

Sonata Arctica was a big favorite for me for a good while.  Fell apart after they kicked the guitar player out. If you haven’t, look into Songs of Silence live album.  Just the first 2 albums worth of material.  Don’t know why spotify shows it as a 2010 release.  Original lineup and in my opinion much better quality than the one from ‘06 after they’d replaced the keyboard player.

For those initial wave of big spenders from the WATA/HA era, I would probably agree. It was all about the e-peen and hype-fest. Only they actually don’t represent what graded collecting is really about.

The public have been fooled into thinking that it’s just for idiots wanting to splash their cash all over the internet. A lot of long term legit graded collectors I know are very insightful on this hobby, and aren’t interested in overspending by 100x market value.

Nah.   Nobody is interested in “overspending” no matter which slice of game collecting you are into.  Graded collecting was never some noble pursuit so let’s not mythologize it as such.   Pretty irritating attitude but that’s kind of always been graded collecting’s calling card hasn’t it?  I mean what do I know though as a public 🤷‍♂️
