At a certain point Joel was long gone and that thread was more like a shrine to NA’s in-jokes.  If you go through there you’ll also see instances of people sacrificing their “insert milestone # post” to the Joel thread.

One that I left out of my obnoxious post (yes, there are more) was a feta-style vegan cheese. It was super melty and creamy. Very tasty.

Aww hell yeah.  When I get home imma whip up a grilled cheese. I tend to add like meat and bacon and stuff so some might argue not grilled cheese but am I really supposed to not put meat on this?

I play the occasional RPGish game and a bunch of rocket league on PS4 and I have a Switch that never gets used.  I hate the fragility of being able to just play a damn game on modern systems.  Software updates, system updates, policy updates, loading loading loading, not enough space on my hard drive, can’t find the hard drive, I wonder if it’s the cable or the hard drive, online subscription expired, you want how much so I can play battlefield 1?, wait why am I logged out of my PlayStation account, hey my password‘s not working, I wonder how long I’ll be on hold for this, fuck this I’m just going to play Klax.

I go to that subreddit very infrequently these days.  I don’t like it there.  It doesn’t at all have the feeling of interacting with people who have the shared collecting experience over the years with you that you get here.  
I‘ve complained before that I think the demographic there is too young for me.

That being said,

You know what I hate?  Messed up flaps on my NES boxes.  The crushing feeling of seeing what at first glance appears to be a beautiful box only to discover seconds later that the flaps are fucked up.  
 

Also, really irritates me when anyone takes any of this collecting super seriously.  It’s objectively stupid but I enjoy it and it drives me nuts when folks refuse to acknowledge the silliness of it all.
