  1. So LRG has published around 350 games. If you assume about 4000 copies per game (might be a bit more overall, but this is a rough estimate) then they have released around 1.4 million copies. If you search for "Limited Run Games" on ebay you find about 9000 entries. So that means that about 0.64% (less than 1%) of copies are being sold on the secondary market. I'm sure if you add other markets it will be higher, but certainly in agreement with TDIRunner who says it's just a "small percentage".  Again, no one is forcing anyone to purchase LRG, but I for one, am very happy they provide the service they do and will continue to support them.

Bottom line: I just want games to be "games". 🙂

Ah, that too is interesting and a whole other thread...

the thing is, I think most of us would agree that video games are an artform. Of course, you could always argue what is art, but invariably much of art gets one to think or look at things differently. While I'm definitely against blatant propaganda, I have no problem with exploring different viewpoints. For example, I loved playing Life is Strange Before the Storm where you play as a gay young woman who is battling high school blues and exploring life... it was fabulous!

If we lived in a world where people stifled such creativity, we may never have gotten such a wonderful game. And you know what, I'm willing to bet that the vast majority of people that played Life is Strange, were neither gay nor young women, and that shouldn't matter one bit.
