  1. Well shit. Now into 3 millions, and you aren't using jumps? How long are you playing without dying?
  2. Skinman, be happy with 3rd place. It'll be tough this year, but I believe in you to do just well enough to keep your trophy.
  3. haha. Too bad the AVS scoreboard went down with the NA ship. I think I got right around 600k to get the high score there.
  4. I couldn't beat you? I seem to remember beating you plenty. You came out on top in the end, but then you faded into obscurity, too afraid to defend your title. 2015 is ancient history. It's 2020 baby! The beginning of the end of my Three-peat!

  6. Hey, if you believe in that shit, that's on you. I'm going out in a blaze of glory. Good luck to you in unseating the third place princess.
  7. I've posted a few scores over at the GB competition, but otherwise haven't been on here much. I will be very busy in the coming months, but I will retire with the belt. Let's do this!
  8. 2,620,800 This is my third and final attempt. Not much else to do to improve the score from what I can see. Nice job Deafcode! 2,599,200 FYI to get your score after beating the game, press select to restart at the Jaleco screen. Cool game, very short.
  9. Yeah, and it's definitely not ideal. I am using a Super Nintendo controller though, so that's something. Game room is still in boxes since moving, or I'd be on my original Game Boy. I'm sure I'd have a much higher score too.
  10. Wow, you guys must be getting just about everything. I tried, but I can't remember how to get some of the coins. Here's my attempt. 139,370 146,820
  11. So, I was glad to see some of my favorite games being played this tournament. Although I had never played Popeye Game B, Excitebike is an old classic my brother's and I had many hours of fun with. From building tracks to trying to get the best times. Balloon Fight was a somewhat newer passion that I discovered when I was trying to max it out for the AVS Scoreboard. I actually came close several times and gave up, but it was really easy for me when I popped it in on Sunday last week. I only ever use the B button. It's basically a turbo A button, so why use A? I said before that I was going to be out of town come Friday. A weekend away from the day to day was exactly what the wife and I needed, as we hadn't done that since the birth or our now one year old. Unfortunately, on Tuesday, my wife's Grandfather died at the age of 96. It didn't really come as a surprise, but none the less changed our plans and we didn't go on our trip. Long story short, I put the wife to bed, and played some Balloon Fight to improve my around 350k score that I had achieved shortly after my 290k from Sunday/Monday morning. I landed on my final score, and was sure it was going to be plenty. I couldn't believe when I saw how close tables' score was. Nice score tables, and all the competitors. This was a really fun year, and I'm glad that I was able to participate again. With the pending return of at least one big name from the past, I will be returning again next year to not only defend my title, but to make sure Skinny and the Colorado boys don't have a chance. Thank you Bea and Guillavoie. I had planned to step down and offer my services, but it looks like things are heating up for next year. Maybe 2021.
  12. Glad to see my score just barely held up, but I shouldn't get 1st and 2nd place.
  13. Hey, no love lost there Guil. I'm kinda regretting posting my scores so early. Maybe we'd see some more lively competition this week. But, maybe there was other ideas in my head... Come on guys. Grab your balloons and FIGHT!!! MERRY TURKEY DAY!!!
  14. As I do enjoy all three of these games, it wasn't the case at all last year. I had only played the first level or so on Ninja Gaiden III, and I outgrinded the grinder and won the championship. I posted up my scores early for a couple reasons. First, I'm going out of town Friday morning, and won't be back until Monday. And B, Balloon Trip is so easy, I just wanted to make sure I was first to show the maxout score. Enough with the bellyaching. Get to grinding!
  15. The Sharp NES TV was on hiatus for awhile with a busted game load tray. I have since replaced it with one of them Blinking Light Win or whatever they're called. But, since moving, the game room is just a bunch of boxes and probably won't change much until next summer.
  16. Honestly, you can't use that excuse anymore. Next year we'll show these little whippersnappers what's up!
  17. I too have my cart from Xmas '87. Along with Commando, Rad Racer, and RC Pro Am!
  18. Nah, I just rolled it once, and I'm in the Great Northwest, so 1AM for me. The problem here is that even if I did roll the score multiple times, the pics would all look about the same.
  19. 402,500 - Balloon Fight 999,990 maxed out score (so, how many times do I need to roll the score?) - Balloon Trip
  20. I agree, but if getting the pics is such a burden, you could also just video record your gameplay, then play it back and take pics from the video. I've never used this technique before, but I may seeing the number of pics needed for this run.
