  1. There's still more points. I didn't do too bad, but I'm sure I could improve my score.
  2. I will do my best to even hit participation. Beat 'em ups...yay...
  3. Kinda pointless to beat it now. Unless you're sure it's going to be low score progression.
  4. I just tried it, couldn't consistently jump when I wanted to, so I quit. Pretty sure this will be a participation play for me.
  5. I have the rest of the week off starting tomorrow. I'll be back Sunday to suck it up. Target Renegade is the Double Dragon twin that should have been aborted.
  6. Of course. We always thought Spider was tough to go up against, but the Asian Freddy Kruger was tough too.
  7. Just had to use Spider, didn't ya? I always played as Cherry on the SNES version...
  8. Ok, I'm done. You can put up your first place loser pic now.
  9. Yes, gives you a chance to move around a little. I was using the door at first, then when my score was almost zero, I noticed that you can't use the door when going for high score.
  10. Oh yeah, Micro Machines were huge in my house growing up, and so we had to get the game. We played head to head more than anything, but I beat the SNES version back then. Not sure when I got the NES version, but I beat it then too. I mean...wait...I haven't beaten it yet...
  11. Well, they could have given a bonus point for first to beat the game, but that's not really how it's been done in the past. I'm out of town after today, so I may not post a first place finish at all.
  12. Been a little busier, but not too busy to keep playing. We played a ton of Micro Machines for the SNES back in the day. I now know why it is that I can't remember anything learned today. I have almost every track of Micro Machines burned into my memory.
  13. Championship has no second place. Only the first loser. I'd say you could strive for that, but you'll be lucky to be the first loser.
  14. Controversies aside, Contra Force turned out to be a good game. I had only ever started it before, and after the seeing the slowdown that I had heard about so many times, I shut it off. It's a shame that not only was it called Contra Force, it clearly wasn't optimized. A little more work, and not attaching it to the Contra franchise would have made this a much better game. I did try the game again with the "overclock" settings, and it did make it more enjoyable. Still plagued with other issues, but all in all a fun game.
  15. Not the actual airplanes. The parts where you are on the big plane wings with several engines. You walk in between them and there's a guy or two on the other side. You can shoot all the white/grey parts for points.
  16. I had never played through this game before. I never went through any section more than once. I did see every part of every level as far as I know. Going through it the first time, I got around 70k. As I was going through a second time, I realized that you can shoot a lot of things. The one major thing I found was that you can shoot the engines on both sides on the airplane level. I got my score before I knew Richardhead even posted his. Unfortunately I've been busy this week. I did see that with these rules, it would be another time where the best player would be at a disadvantage because of being able to get through the game faster and scoring less points.
  17. Right, no reason to even make a sequel to anything. They always pale in comparison to the first. So I suppose I don't even need to try anymore. I existed before you, therefore I am superior. Um...score? For what?
  18. You must be drinking the hard stuff. I like me some SMB, but no way is it better than SMB3. And I don't know why people love MM2 so much. MM3 is the best MegaMan.
