  1. Does anyone know if a list exists detailing all of the GBA SP battery variants? Or what the codes on the batteries mean? From what I can tell the first digit is a letter and indicate the year it was made. There are W, X, Y and Z codes.

    W = 2003-2004
    X = 2004-2005
    Y = 2005-2006
    Z = 2006-2007

    The original DS batteries are the same and use the same lettering.

    For variants there appears to be 3 different colors. Gray w/ White Label, Black w/ White Label, and all Blue w/ Printed Text. I believe the gray ones were the very first batch off the assembly line as they don't have any codes on them. The black ones were next but I'm not sure about the blue ones. Obviously they are later batches but I'm not sure where they fit in. Did they come with some 001 models? Or only 101 models? Or are those the ones you could order from Nintendo's website?

  2. Sandpaper is much worse IMO and should never be used. You don't need to use much force with fiberglass pens to clean the pins. Nylon pens (the green ones) however are stronger and can do as much damage as sandpaper if you use too much force. Only use them if nothing else seems to work.

    The same could be said for every year since 2009...this hobby's just fucking nuts sometimes.

    At least it felt like a natural growth up until 2011/2012. Then everything started to change. Not sure what caused it to change but everyone says it was the famous Yahoo auction with Stadium Events. Yes...the almighty Yahoo auction that has the power to change everything. Then when investors entered the market in 2018, the market really went down the crapper.

    You've mentioned some of those titles for over a year plus now.  I even remember passing on Greg Norman's that were sitting on Amazon at $50 new (3 copies) around that time frame.  Are you going to actually open anything or what?

    There is no rush. I hate to say it but the days of buying a bunch of sealed NES games for cheap and opening them are over. So why not savor the moment? That being said, yes it has been awhile since I opened a game. I've been very tempted to open some more.

    This may be the only CIB copy of this game in existence that's wearing a plastic wrap dress.

    Interesting to see how it came packaged. I had a hunch that the Encyclopedia was on the bottom. I figured the inserts would be in their usual spot. Tucked underneath the plastic bag flap. What's most shocking is there doesn't appear to be a NP insert.
