  1. Are you saying like: in Street Fighter 2 when you up the difficulty the computer fighters actually skip animation frames when executing attacks, so they are straight up cheating to win. Or... Mario Party 3 (specifically, though I'm sure the rest are bad in their own ways) the CPU lands on hidden stars and shit at an alarming rate to gain a seemingly ridiculous unfair advantage.
  2. While this isn't directly related to my continued SNES game hunt, I finally have a game room that I'm comfortable in and am satisfied with (aside from some small changes). All console connections are hooked up to one of the TVs and ready to go, and the consoles are in the drawers w/ controllers. I just need to run the cables under the desk and I already have an organized way of doing that which should look clean in the end. There's a slide-out surface (not the black coffee table) under the center desk that's perfect for whatever consoles are in use. Also, I have way more SNES that are in drawers that will eventually be put in rows on individual shelves. The color of the LED lights lining the cieling can be changed, I just picked my favorite color for the first few pics.
  3. Everything worked out well. Buyer got on his regular account and paid and item's been shipped and arrived at destination. I was skeptical in the beginning but I always struggle giving odd situations the benefit of the doubt. I was off-base here, I guess, and I'm glad I was!
  4. Interesting update: Yeah, so I messaged the buyer and they actually messaged me back. They said it was a secondary account that ebay created for them for using a different login (or something along those lines?) Anyways, I cancelled the transaction and they said they'd rebuy under their actual account. I wasn't sure they would, but after relisting, sure enough, they purchased it again under their main account that had a ton of solid feedback. Same address, name, etc. So, I feel bad for being skeptical, but the buyer was very understanding in the messages. Needless to say, not the outcome I expected at all.
  5. I googled the address and it's a suite in Manhattan that sells for a couple milli. There's a phone number from the same area attached to the account. I messaged the buyer and I feel like a lack of response will give me more info. But, yeah, 0 feedback and account created yesterday seems odd to me. It's not insanely high priced. Just over a thousand. I've encountered an issue in the past where something got delivered and the receiver said it was broken in packaging, etc etc even though I know I mailed it off well protected. They wanted partial refund and i didn't want to go through the rigmarole of Ebay's dispute process, so I gave a partial. I just don't want to walk into a similar situation.
  6. I have had an item for sale on ebay for a month or so, and it's probably overpriced by a hundred or two, so I have a "best offer" available. Anyways, someone paid outright for it without making an offer. Also they have zero feedback. Also they made their account yesterday. It says they paid, but I'm really leery about sending this thing off. I'm thinking something is going to "go wrong" with the transaction on their end. Surely there are many ways they could be trying to pull one over on me. What recourse do I have here? Edit: I mean I guess I can just cancel it, but has anyone experienced this before? Surely.
  7. Pretty sure Deniz would flip like a pancake. Time to put the pressure on the kid.
  8. Find it unlikely that WATA survives this. Even if the RICO doesn't hold up, the class action will sting, and barring that failing, their reputation might be beyond repair. Idk what kind of rebrand can save them now. Looks like I'll have to try out CGC I'm just glad most of the graded games I have are for my personal collection, and I believe I can say I've never purchased a graded game before.
  9. $2 a piece at the local thrift shop! People drop off donations to the local church here in town, and I know someone who works there that sends me pics of video games whenever they float in. They were there when these were being priced, sent me some pics, and of course I said, "I'll take them all!" And yes, I gave them more than $8 for their heads-up work. Best score I've had in years for the price
  10. The one I saw was at a local shop, and was overpriced compared to that Ebay copy, at least. The condition was probably comparable, though I never took it out of the box to examine it. I guess if I could talk the guy down to 150 it could be worth it. Just loved the look of it in the clear box, tbh.
