  1. Thanks i will relay the message. Learned something new today. Thank you:)!
  2. A friend of mine just got this game boy cart and asked me if this is possibly a cart that was given out to Nintendo reps back in the day. Can anyone verify? I don’t know beans about game boy stuff:(
  3. Totally get it. Im still on the fence about these last three being repros. The only thought i have with them is that if i do it they would be obvious reproductions such as darxide only being released in Europe my repro i would have made to resemble the Us release style such as the image below. @Dr. Morbisdoes have a good point as innocent as my motivation maybe i am funding something potentially that could be used to scam new comers into the hobby which I don’t want to do:(
  4. This is extremely helpful! So i plan on calling vga on Monday to ask them some questions. Specifically what category do I submit my console under “standard or qualified”. The box has never been opened but there are no seal stickers (don’t think there ever was and i see no evidence of seal stickers either). So im not sure which one to put it under and id hate to say “standard” and then have them charge me an extra $25 to re categories it to “qualified” as their policy states they may do with that said perhaps you can help answer some questions since you’ve went down the vga console grading path 1). Do you know which category i need to use? Standard or qualified? 2). I have that shrink wrap on my console that the store owner put on it when he aold me the unit to help keep dust off. do i need to remove that before i ship or will they remove it. Or will they reject it because it has shrink wrap on it? 3). Any issues you had with vga and your console? 4). Did you chose the classic label or the clear view one and whats the big difference? 5). Any guess on the wait time? If i chose the 7-10 day option most expensive (i think that also includes the uv protection in the price as well). Is it 7-10 days after all their delays due to covid or does it no longer matter on which service you choose now because there is no way in hell anyone is getting anything back in 7-10 days due to covid? 6). They say to insure it for the value the item would be after a grade. How can i find that out? I cannot find any history of sega 32x graded sales anywhere 7). Oh are any of the extras worth it? Like the cleaning or the detail summary? 8 ) guess its normal to worry that vga will not return my system lol? thanks again,
  5. This greatly saddens me. Did they do this many years ago when sega was still being sold in stores or recently?
  6. I agree. Perhaps he just needs a snickers?
  7. It looked like it was inside the case but im going to double check that. Do you have a grade console? Thoughts on it and the process
  8. Since i got my recent nib sega 32x. I have zero plans of ever taking it out of the box. What’s everyone’s thoughts on getting it graded? I believe VGA is my only option as it doesn’t seem wata does consoles. Now in some of the random graded console pics on the internet i see some that its hard to actually see the console behind the case due to what it seems to be a clear plastic bag wrapped around the console before going into the case. That looks like crap. But then ive seen some consoles that dont look like that and they look good. Does anyone know what that bag is and if i can tell vga to not use the crappy bag? thoughts?
  9. Good call out. Yes I forgot to mention that in the posting, i think i was still in shock that day i got it to even mention that detail. The shrink wrap really helps imo. I think ill even get a case protector like i have for my games thanks again. This was an amazing find!
  10. Thanks! Its definitely not $400 for this game at the moment im all tapped out on the bigger purchases for a while. Thankfully this isn’t an ebay seller (maybe thats even worse lol?). We’ll see if he changes his price months from now. Wasn’t quite sure on the going rate for the game because they just don’t show up that often to get much data on them
  11. Well, i tell you what. If you can keep your eye out for me on a good deal for it cib i may take you up on that offer especially if you say you may find one for under half that. Would cost my guess around 50-60 for a very nice reproduction, so that maybe doable to get the real deal for less than that $200 price. (I think it was going to be around $145 plus $35 in shipping. Something like that) hows $400 for sangokushi iv? Is that a good price? Do you see any of them around? thank you again and super kind of you
  12. Aha. Well that explains it. That was cib for under $200. That still overpriced? I couldn’t ask you to do that especially with my hesitation of shipping overseas:(. Very kind of you though. Very kind
  13. Well thats good to know. I can snag one for under $200 thats including shipping. But that just seems high and that’s nearly $30 in shipping too btw. Is that the going rate? Also I thought you were in Taiwan? Did you use to live in UK?
  14. Bump, edited what i still have left!
  15. Don’t worry! I still have plenty more stories to share and today is an extra special story as it involves my local gaming store and the owner. i found @Trade-N-Gamesabout 3-4 years ago when I decided to start finding some of my old games that i had lost over the years. I have to say that their shop is always fun to visit as its very clean, organized, and they truly care about the hobby. They have imo an excellent online option as well and whatever they have in store is online, they keep that current. In fact, before items are sold in the store (especially high dollar ones) they do make sure an online order didn’t beat you to it if you happen to just walk in that day (which I respect that). Anyhow my story and my find So, i had called ahead to see if they would be interested in buying or exchanging for store credit some of my extra low value 32x games. They said they would so i made the trip in (which btw, ill update my selling posting to reflect those changes) and got to chatting away with the owner about collecting especially around sega, 32x, and sega cd. The conversation some how came around to him having an extra new in the box sega 32x ... i was shocked. I had all the ntsc games and was holding off untill i found a deal with either a box or maybe a cib out in the wild, never would I thought i would find one brand new! Last time i had seen a brand new sega 32x was Christmas of 95 when my parents had surprised me with one. So as you can imagine this brought back good memories (very few that i have of my childhood). We worked out a deal and i now have been able to repeat that childhood experience with the on difference being that i am not going to take it out of the box! this probably is now my favorite piece of my entire collection... even tops spiderman even though spiderman is more expensive. The condition and the memories attached Enjoy everyone and I highly recommend if you haven’t checked out tradengames you should. And no I don’t work for them lol
  16. Im not sure if anyone collects these or not. Apparently i have been over the years and with my addition of my 32x collection my wife wants me to purge some things. Does any of these titles peek anyone’s interest? Some of these are MMO’s so probably not worth it to you guys but thought id ask. Oh i have skyrim too thats never been opened for pc btw: torchlight is brand new never opened oh and i should have looked at the picture more clearly the shiny blurry one is the light reflection off terra if anyone was curious enjoy!
  17. Yep, I don’t understand it tbh. Like wsb i got for 32x. I don’t het why its so expensive! Its not like there was a small number made like spiderman but its hard to find and a sports title!
  18. You are definitely talking about hagane. The “blockbuster exclusive “ which isn’t true. Ever since that one youtuber announced falsely that it was it got more rare and expensive. I don’t get it either but it is what it is
  19. So im not certain yet, but im willing to entertain some offers 1) hagane - cart. Full disclosure the label may have been replaced. Hard to tell but the board is legit it looks really nice though ive had it since mid last year 2). Chrono trigger - cart 3). Ogre battle - cart thanks for looking!
  20. Looking back, perhaps i should have just combined all of my looking to bu threads, but here i am now! I am looking for the following 1) Fifa 96 cib for sega 32x 2) Sangokushi iv cib for sega 32x 3) Darxide cib for sega 32x <- this maybe stupid hard to find and expensive, but here’s to hoping thanks again community!
  21. Bump. One down and one pending. Send me a PM if interested
  22. @bronzeshieldi might have found you a kolibri manual. Sent you a PM rest of you. No need to bump ive found all US pieces now. Ill bump my other threads soon
  23. Thanks, this is helpful and i did forget about those everdrives. I got one for my game gear works well! I guess im wondering from a collectors point of view. How much would it bother a seasoned collector to have replicas of certain games? Surgical Strike on 32x is a perfect example there is absolutely no chance of getting 1 out of the 2 known actual copies released in brazil. However, there are some replicas out there that might look great on the shelf with the others ... even though its not the real deal. at first knowning that its a fake was botherIng me so I didn’t even think about considering anything outside of the official US release. But now im wondering so, with the above in mind is it taboo to even consider having reproductions of these last few titles? granted, dont get me wrong. Id love to have them. Just might not be realistic
