  1. I was thanked at work, and I wanted to say "You're welcome!" or "No problem!" What came out was a cheerful "Your problem!" And this is *absolutely* not an excuse to point at my new signature and get everyone to notice it.
  2. Aww crap. We’re going to visit @darkchylde28’s grandmother again, so we won’t be able to do game night. I’ll try to pop in and say hi from 1982.
  3. Anything at Sotheby's is going to be only for the 1%'ers, though. That's kind of it's function.
  4. This is a picture my dad took in 2003 (4?), it was dad, me, and my two sisters, and our last vacation as a family before we all got married and moved out. This was in Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains Park, and this was the baby bear who interrupted our picnic. The rangers showed up before the mother did. But this guy climbed down a tree right beside us and tried to help himself to our chicken salad.
  5. My sister introduced me to a game we can play on our phones called "Psych." It was great, and I think it would be right up our alley. Free to download! The name seems not to be related. It asks you questions about the players like "What is Rhapsody's next tattoo going to look like?" Or "What is Jeevan's pet peeve." Everyone answers, and then everyone votes on the best answer. One vote is one point, and after 10 rounds the game announces a winner. It might be worth a look.
  6. I generally read a lot of non-fiction, but just in case anyone needs a kids book recommendation, https://www.amazon.com/s?k=kittens+first+full+moon&ref=nb_sb_noss_2 This has been my 7 year old's favorite book since he was 3.
  7. I have a show, but I'll be home as quick as I can.
  8. It's more like a game of Zombie tag, if you remember that from being a kid. As IT tags people, they join his team, until everyone is IT.
  9. I haven't seen it, but I listened while my husband watched it. I just don't do horror well. But here's a great video explaining the movie and comparing it to the original source material.
  10. Good theory, but it was based on a 1938 novel called "Who Goes There?"
  11. First, let me say I actually have a background in criminal justice, but specifically in the state of TN. It was a crime, but in 2020, the law was amended that you would not be added to the sex offender registry as long as the intent was just to “excrete.” If you needed to pee and weren’t trying to shove it in someone’s face. Before the text was added below, it was a $500 fine for the first offense. “if the person makes intentional and reasonable attempts to conceal the person from public view while performing an excretory function, and the person performs the function in an unincorporated area of the state.“
  12. Here’s me, in an 11th C. Viking kirtle and apron dress. Ta Da!
  13. Favorite fall drink: Russian tea! Bonus, it was a gift from my sister to help ease my sore throat as I recover from a sinus infection.
  14. I can’t find the mugshot thread. I’ll post a picture here if you want me to.
  15. Yeah. We didn’t do much in the way of decorating. But they’re my favorites because the kids got such joy out of them.
