  1. So, um, anyone cycle for fun?  Show me your rides and your accomplishements.  I just started cycling last year around August, and have put some miles on the bikes.

Starting out, I purchased this beaut. last year:

    3DlzxOq.jpg

    Tis a Trek Marlin 5 gen 2.

This year I plan on doing a very long 162 mile ride called the RAIN Ride.  https://www.rainride.org/

So, instead of trying to ride my Mountain bike the entire way, I purchased this beaut. in March:

    MQF6i9b.jpg

    Tis a Fezzari Empire Sport.

So far, since August of last year, I have put in total 1174.99 miles on both bikes.  The Trek has over 900 as i have had it longer, but over 200 on the Fezz.  Hope to make 3,000 miles this year alone, and am already at 536.87 for the year as of today.

This was a way to boost my weight loss btw, kind of why I bought them.  Never thought I would really go passed the trek, but since someone suggested we try it, now 3 of us from work are planning on doing the RAIN Ride.

Feel free to share, and look forward to more from me as I plan on sharing my accomplishments in the thread.  For instance, I stopped the timer on accident as I was ansering a text, but I rode 40.35 miles today before the eclipse.  Hope to get really ready so the 162 mile ride isn't as bad 🤣.

Wow, all the way across the state; that's cool.  I used to know this crazy "old" guy who was well into his fifties and had to live on a very small/tight budget.  He survived on a diet of rice, chicken, free bread and snickers.  The last one being what he took on bike rides.  The guy really didn't look like much but he would go on rides like 6 days a week and he frequently did these crazy bike rides that were well over 100 miles.

    Have a blast!

..and maybe report in around here after the fact and let us know how it went...

100% will do, plan on starting a thread soon about it and anyone else who wants to partake as well.

Nice, I am a teensy bit jelly 😉 ; hitting that kind of speed on the downhill can get a little scary if conditions/brakes/cars are not ideal, or at least that's been my experience.  Pretty much all my bikes need at least a little lookin at; I'm a little behind on that right now.  Where are you doing your 162 and your 50?

i am on a paved trail, so no cars, just pedestrians to watch out for.......

All very cool!  Looks and sounds like you are getting serious.  I'm currently on a Trek 700 Multitrack Hybrid that is basically a tank compared to what you're riding, but it works well for what I do which boils down to "road and trail."  I've also got a no namer that I Frankensteined and use as a single-speed trainer.  I also have a mountain bike that I haven't used much yet that is probably very cheap since I got it for next to nothing and it says "Fear Factor" on it with a picture of a Tarantula....  + a few other old fixer uppers waiting for me to get at them any day now.  That Fezzari looks slick as can be.  I used to have a pretty sweet road bike, the make/model of which escapes me now, but it would have been light enough to chuck one-handed.  Kinda wish I'd hung onto it...

The fezzari weighs 19.xx lbs, it is all carbon frame/forks and is soooooooo fast, i was doing 42.8mph down a hill and averaging 15.x mph on the paved trail i ride.  I'm gonna be going off road for the first time tomorrow on my mountain bike.  Hope i don't crash and burn 🤣

Sweet, that's a nice looking steed.  I'ma be doing much the same soon.  🙂

Im over 412 miles for the year, with a goal of 3k, which i think im gonna surpass by a lot.  I have a 162 mile ride and a 50 mile ride set for july and august im training for.  What kinda bike you got?  I bought the fezzari last month, have a trek marlin 5 gen 2, never ridden a road bike, the fezzari is AMAZING.

I don't generally play much of anything outside of the contest anymore. Not retro. Not modern. Today I sat down and played just for the sake of playing and it felt nice. World 4's map music is dope. And stage 4-1 was such a mind blowing level as a kid. Used to get so caught up in using the flutes to skip to the end and missing out on just how great this game really is. Untitled_Artwork.png.fae42893e59547d98063c13209ed42d8.png

That is part of the reason I played it, hadn't seen every world for awhile.  much easier with p wings, but I did the first playthrough with a lot of deaths in world 8 lol.

I still prefer smw, but it's because I played it more and am more familiar with it, but smb3 is starting to grow on me a bit more.

I have some questions for everyone.

How often do you play these games outside of playing in the tournament?

How often do you play retro games for fun in your every day lives?

When was the last time you played world 4-1 of this game?

I recently played through the game twice, 4-1 both times, unless u meant 1-4, then just for contest.  I played with the all p wings after beating the game for fun.

Not too sure. There is the issue of criminal vs. civil liability. WATA used tv, press and the internet to ALLEGEDLY defraud god knows how many people and pump up the demand for their grading company. They ALLEGEDLY omitted details of massive conflicts of interest transactions that directly had an effect on the graded game market. I would LOVE to see records of bidding history on heritage auctions for certain games. I would bet anything that there was scammy shill bidding going on behind the scenes, folks driving up prices with zero intention of actually purchasing anything. It is just all gross. Even if nothing happens to these scumbags, I am at least glad that all of this information is now a matter of public record and will cast a shadow over them going forward in their respective careers.

problem is, wasn't one of them already connected to the coin inflation?  not sure it will really ruin their image any more so than what it already was, although we can hope it has some negative effect on them 😏
