  1. This isn’t true at all. In fact the opposite. Your buying a cib knowing that the contents have been inspected and scrutinized by a professional. It’s often hard to tell what condition any of the contents are just from pictures. Buying a wata graded cib gives you a fairly strong and accurate idea of the exact condition of what’s inside the box. Wata puts the manual and cart grade on the back of the wata sticker in case you didn’t know. I believe they also list other game specific inserts as well. In addition you will have access to pre grading photos at some point I’d they develop the app they claim to be.
  2. Any one know how the cart grading works. Is it just the label they look at? I have a cart with what looks like a mint label when looking straight on. But at certain light angles you can see faint lines. How much does that count against you
  3. wata scale is easier to understand and more in line with the majority of other collectible grading scales.
  4. i just sent a few games into wata for the first time. they seem kind of awful. Item arrived at their address 6 days ago and their website still doenst show the are received. but the part thats more frusterating is its impossible to talk to them. they never answer the phone and emails take 4+ days to get a response
  5. I’m surprised such a disparity between sealed and cibs. Mint cibs very hard to find for most titles.
  6. So what does ns mean exactly? I have an snes game with plastic on but it’s ripped at one end for the length of the box. The box looks like it has never been opened as there are no crease marks at the flap bend. Would this be ns?
  7. could someone load a photo of their WATA game with the "Badge" upgrade. I have searched before for examples but thread was too old and pictures wouldnt show. EDIT found youtube video where it is shown off. kinda dont see how this is worth even 8$
  8. vga is rigged. i submitted a game and got an 85. i deslab it and sell to bucky. he submits it and gets 85+. i had heard he was supposedly involved with the company in some fashion. could argue the grades are close enough for it to just be natural variance but i think its too big of coincidence and have heard of similar stories of special treatment before.
  9. I think you are correct. The only manuals that are sns-tm-usa without the -1 on end have the fruit snacks.
  10. im going over some of my cibs and noticing that the code on the flap of the box doesnt match the manuals on some of my games. there is also a code on the cart stick in bottom left that will match one of the codes. does this mean that all the codes need to match for it to be complete from the same print run? from what ive read the code will specific the print run. Ive also seen this on my super mario world where the manual doesnt match the box and cart.
  11. looking to buy nba jam/te and simpsons snes cibs in mint. Will pay premium.
  12. found it. above the barcode it looks like the japan 1st release has the "kids to adult" label
  13. I was never aware of a Donkey Kong Country having two variants. I just noticed tihs WATA copy for the first time seeing that. Can anyone show me where the difference is between this box and the japan box https://comics.ha.com/itm/video-games/nintendo/donkey-kong-country-snes-nintendo-1994-usa-wata-70-seal-rating-variant-made-in-mexico/a/121932-13265.s
  14. Ty. I read in another thread just now as I was searching that WATA lists extra inserts that are game specific like registration cards, but not the extra more generic advertisement posters and inserts. Which is ashame because cibs do go for a premium and are only considered 100% complete when they have all of the papers
  15. 1. I see the back of cib wata games only show grade for manual cart and box. Is the overall score and score on the front the average of all 3? 2. Does wata take into consideration if the cib is 100% complete with original paper work? White warranty slip, registrations cards, advertisements and posters(game specific or generic). Is there a designation on the wata label for this? And if so how do they know what was originally in it to grade the paperwork completeness. 3. Can someone explain more on the imp designation I have seen on some. Is this like a box made in japan but has the made in Mexico black and white manual? I’d imagine though there is no way to no if a manual is specific to a certain box so these can be pieced together and pass wata inspection to avoid the imp ?
  16. WTB: Kirby Superstar SNES cart condition must be near mint or mint.
