I checked the "waybackmachine" under both nintendoage and vintage.nintendoage, and it's all been erased by gocollect and redirects there. I was hoping we'd still have access to the databases, but no such luck. Not sure if it could have been backed up anywhere else that they haven't yet nuked.

Regarding the Game Gear adaptor, I've been using the updated 1.1 model that they sent out for about a week now, and it works great. When I first tried it, I was getting nothing however, then it occurred to me that I hadn't updated the Mega SG firmware for the better part of a year. Since I did that, the GG adaptor has been flawless. And I've really been enjoying Star Wars and Shinobi, but Outrun Europa sucks. Just throwing that out there.

Solid 8/10 movie. I recommend the new 4k disc, excellent picture quality. Incidentally, the Peter Cetera song "Glory of Love" was the wedding song of my wife and myself.

Speaking of RPGs, I was all in on the first Dragon Warrior as I have never actually sat down and played it for real. At this point, I have put in countless hours, but still feel as though I haven't leveled up enough to make a serious run at the final castle. I've collected all of the parts I needed, and traded them to an old man for a rainbow bridge which connects to the island the final castle is on. But I noticed that as soon as I cross over there, the random battles kick my tuchus enough to wear I'm burning through health spells just to stay alive. So I've cooled off on it for now. I want to say I'm level 15 right now, and I think to seriously have a chance to beat the game, my guy will need to be level 20. And let me tell you, grinding is a major component of this game. I couldn't even tell you how many hours I've had to wander around certain areas to rack up experience points in fights, and to get to level 20, well, that's just daunting at this point. I'm not saying never, but I'm taking a break.

Ha! I hope that we 'll actually get a football season this year. I was all jacked up for F1 and March Madness to start, then this crap hit. No Masters either. Daddy likes his sports, it's been rough. Did you win FF last year?

I remember it hitting 79 cents in high school, this was about 97/98. But that was a weird drop for like a few weeks. Usually it was around a dollar in those days. Then I recall it being between $3 and $4 regularly throughout the early-mid aughts. But it had been under 2.50 here (West Michigan) for the past few years, since well before the corona outbreak. But now it's 1.69 I think, at least that was the latest I saw a few days ago. Crazy.

There's a thread devoted to it on Sega-16 for the Genesis that's been going for years. It seems crazy that you can do that to me too.

I made the sojourn here from NA, largely to keep following your SNES countdown. Very cool to see that you've got your own site up and going for it now. Let the good times roll.
