I was going to say Ristar, but since that has already been mentioned I guess I'll say Kirby Air Ride.

To critics, it was considered mediocre. However, many now believe it is a good game. It's worth mentioning that there is a Kirby Air Ride comic in an issue of Nintendo Power, two episodes of the Kirby: Right Back At Ya! anime (which are part of the Kirby: Fright to the Finish DVD) have vehicles from Kirby Air Ride, and there is a cool Kirby Memory Card that came out in Japan. And the game hasn't been forgotten, as music from the game is included in several Smash Bros. games (including Ultimate) and there are also Kirby Air Ride "treats" in Kirby's Dream Buffet.

The way I think about Kirby is that every game in the series tries to do something unique. So you’ll just keep seeing new innovations with Kirby. The unique games are the Kirby “sequels”

I'd do the same thing I do with every first party release: buy it when it's on sale for $30 or $40.

MSRP is mostly irrelevant to me.

Also, your choices leave a lot of gaps.

    I added “not buying” option.
What other options do you want to see

  3. Some day people won’t care about NES games anymore. Probably when a lot of people in our age range start dying off. That’s what happens.

My dad is a huge antique radio collector. Some of his radios were worth tens of thousands of dollars. As I was growing up, he would show them off to me, give a little history lesson and always tell me about how they were appreciating in value each year.

He’s finally gotten to the age that he wants to clean up house, and he was shocked to find that over the past 5-10 years, the antique radio market has declined tremendously. He thought he’d reach out to some of his old contacts in the antique radio club he used to be in and a lot of them are now dead and their collections have been picked over by other collectors. Nobody wants to pay anything for these old radios anymore, so he says he’s just gonna hold onto them until he dies

Mega Man 6 was published by Nintendo so they made tens of thousands of them. Any game published by Nintendo doesn't count for that reason.

Wario's Woods was released in 1994 and sealed copies are about $200.

We have to make a distinction between Megaman 6 and Megaman 6 purple. Megaman 6 has tens of thousands, but the purple border version is probably just as rare Little Samson. And the prices for it have started to catch up.. lately I’ve been seeing purple border Megaman 6 listings for $1000+ even the ones listed on MercadoLivre in Brazil

Several years ago now, I was playing through 2nd Quest of Legend Of Zelda for the first time ever.  I was all set to head into the final dungeon.  I popped it into the NES and all three blocks of game save were empty.  That is still the only time that I've had a battery die on me.  I think I'm finally past the anger sufficient to maybe start that 2nd Quest again one of these days...

Next time hold reset as you power off 😜

  6. I know the wholesale giants (Sams, BJs, Costco) will often have exclusive bundles. The items in the bundles are sometimes just regular retail items, but bundled together and put in an exclusive bundle packaging. Don’t know how long they been doing this.

You probably wouldn’t know any better because people will usually toss out the exterior bundle packaging and only keep the retail boxes (if they even keep that)

  7. US has the strongest military on the planet, PERIOD. China knows better than to ever launch a physical offensive against the US.

With that said, China has already been at war with the US for over a decade. They are not planning on launching a direct physical attack on the US. They are just preparing military defenses in the event that some crazy person in US politics with command over military forces decides to do something foolish against their homeland.

In Chinas view there are two ways to kill your enemy. You can fight them face to face, in which case they lose because we are stronger. Or you can slowly and discreetly cause them to become weaker until a time comes that they are no longer the one in control.

China has launched an attack on the US in every way possible except militarily years ago and some people are just starting to notice the effects of it now.

  8. I 100%’ed when I was a little kid. One of my favorite Gameboy games. Even more than Mario Land 2. Although Mario Land 2 may be more mass appealing.

There is one complaint I have. The stage at the top of teapot mountain becomes inaccessible after the thing lands on top of it. This is a game ruining event for me. I like to be able to revisit every stage as much as I want

Companies like Nintendo who offer retro/vintage games on their modern hardware have the metrics to determine how popular playing the old games are.  I'm sure than Nintendo has seen how often Switch users are playing their virtual consoles and it's a message to them--people like these old games and are nostalgic for them.  So... build products off of that knowledge.

This is an area to expand into, not to steal from one department to make another one.

I’ve suspected that they might do this. They already track your gameplay hours for Switch games. I’m sure they also have some magic working in the background th track gameplay habits on the virtual console

Better yet, maybe Square-Enix and Nintendo are fuzzy enough after all these decades that if this does well Super Mario RPG2 will finally be made, because paper mario is definitely not it.

I hate to break this to you, but as you may already know, Nintendo America doesn’t develop, they just localize and do marketing. The games are made in Japan and in Japan there is indeed a game called Super Mario RPG2 that was renamed Paper Mario in America. Japan calls the shots.

Another clue is that Mario and Peach character designs in this remake are in the “cutesy form” which is basically a 3D form of the 2D Paper Mario character designs… so one can assume that they chose the character design choice for this remake with Paper Mario in mind

And I know it's June but with every Direct that comes out, I'm more and more shocked that Nintendo isn't revealing their next console.

I get it.  We keep buying their games but at some point they will drift away from the island of relevancy, and if they don't release their next steps/plans, it will be too late between the announcement and the release of the hardware.  I have no clue what it will be, but the Switch is getting to be oooooold in game years.

The day they announce new console, Switch console sales will drop off a cliff. So they are gonna keep milking the cow until it’s dry
