I got it when there weren’t as many 2D sidescrolling games on switch. Honestly I’m not impressed. If you like the genre, there’s plenty of better options.. not as many bloody options though

I don’t notice lag. Probably depends on your tv

What do malls have to do with video games?
Back in the days before Gamestop existed, your parents would shop at the mall department stores and you and your siblings would split and run over to the video game section. Then you’d hang out until your parents came looking for you and then refuse to leave unless they buy you a new game.
Then you and the fam would walk together through the mall area. To finish off the day you all would stop at the food court and while your parents were ordering food you’d gravitate over to the arcade and spend all of your birthday money.

Light guns exist on the PS3/4 and the Xbox Kinect had some stuff. I play light gun games on PS3 like House of the Dead every so often, and it works perfectly well.
I was totally not aware that PS4 has a lightgun. Obviously it works with lcd screens.. Is there any lag?

Nintendo Wii had several good ones. Doesnt take any kind of crazy technology
Wii was cool but there was always significant lag that caused the pointer on screen to trail behind the actual direction the gun is pointing

We have such good graphics available nowadays not only from big developers, but also from Indies.
One of the issues with light gun technologies in the past was lack of developers making titles and also the general accuracy/lag of the technology.
I feel like we are at a point now that if we had ultra accurate, ultra responsive light gun technology for switch or any major platform, it would take off. Not to mention, but giant TVs are now very affordable.
Aren’t we due for some new light guns?

Hmm interesting. Someone posted on here when the site first started about some quirky chips in Donkey Kong. I think the explanation was that Nintendo’s service department had some surplus writable EPROMs that were normally used to flash arcade machines. They just used some of those to do a warranty repair on an NES cart.
Since this is POW I believe the publisher is SNK, so maybe this could be a repaired warranty cart that SNK worked on

Oh Target and Best Buy do this too I believe. I got Snipperclips the digital full edition for like $10 from Target when it was on sale on the eshop.
This is good to know. Unfortunately, Amazon, Best Buy and Target all do not sell Venture Kid

I can’t believe there’s no way to do this. Seems like a major shortcoming of Nintendo’s.

I want to buy some digital games as gifts to give away. I know that you can buy eshop Download codes at GameStop. But Gamestop will charge you full price. Right now there is a big sale on digital titles on switch and I want to get some download codes at the discounted prices.
Is there any way to get them at the discount prices in download code form?

Want to beat it without getting hit?
As they begin to flash, keep pressing start. The bullets go right through you.
Yup. That’s how I’ve been doing it since I was like 5 years old. Can’t believe I could actually get that far as a kid.
I firmly believe that Megaman and Zelda games have had a profoundly positive impact on my problem solving skills and have been a huge benefit for me throughout my entire life

What I really want to know is how this will impact the retro game market. I am gonna have to ask Jim from Go Collect.
In all seriousness, we need Andrew Yang to be the next president. A perpetual $1000 a month would be excellent for video game collection
Yang 2020!

I wonder if there are any beanie baby grading companies? Maybe we should start buying up all the rares and then hiking the prices up

I'd agree with this if there wasn't plastic chunks from the console bouncing around inside with the 20lb power brick, oh and zero packaging. It's funny because he advertised the Duo as more valuable because the box/console had matching serial ##'s, but then decides to ruin the box with extremely adhesive packing tape?
Soooooo like no matter how you look at this he fked upDid you win it for way below market price?

I would have got one but now it’s $90

I can confirm it was awesome. I live right down the street from the mall

Absolutely you can. The NES and SNES classic already represent the the big hitters and then you can add 20-30 additional titles that were missing

Updated the format to Google forms. Help me out with the top deals. These are painstaking to search for

I thought it was related to Game Sages

What you described (slow death) could possibly be a failed electrical component. Check continuity across components.

Yes. Hitler did not escape justice. My belief

Maybe they were playing psychological games. If you think the part has a purpose you are probably more likely to keep it in there when not using the gba slot

We create the spikes just by discussing things. It’s simple supply and demand. The supply is fixed. Some games have a ton of copies out there and some have few.
When we discuss how something is in some way interesting we create the demand. And if we talk about how it is also uncommon, that only amplifies the demand. And if we speculate that it will be a spike then it gets out of control.
Low supply + high demand = spike

Maybe the Nintendo service team had a big stockpile of EPROMs to use for service calls on their arcade machines. And my guess if that general consumers probably did not make many warranty requests for NES cartridges, people probably just tossed them out if they thought they were defective. Given the low volume of returned product, Nintendo probably didn’t see it practical to stock replacement mask roms for NES games
What's your most anticipated game of 2020?
