  3. LADIES AND GENTLEMAN! Prepare yourselves for a week of HIGH tensions and high speed action! For this week, our bravest will tackle GRADIUS! Here's the rules our unfortunate athletes will have to follow: Play until Life "0" (There is no number where your lives are displayed when you reach your last life, so this will count as Life "0") Once you reach Life "0," you MUST stop playing and take a picture of your score. If it is determined you played more of the game on your last life, your score will not count. Looping of the game will be allowed. If you roll the score, make sure to take a picture of your score right before the roll and right after. Please do this for each roll of the score. Highest score wins. GENRE: Shooter/Shoot 'Em Up I know damn well that you all are going to stop playing after dying the 1st life due to the Gradius effect, but still, you can use all but your last life to achieve a LUDICROUS SCORE! The contest ends Sunday, 05/10/20 at 11 PM VGS time. Your user name MUST be written or typed on a piece of paper and be in the picture for your score to be valid. The entire TV screen, or computer monitor if you are playing on an emulator, MUST be in the picture for the score to be valid. No partial screenshots will be considered or accepted. No screenshots by hitting "print screen" on a computer will be allowed. You must take a picture of your computer monitor. There may be instances where this will be acceptable, but it will be at the discretion of myself and the contest organizers. Also, the use of turbo controllers is forbidden, as well as any cheat codes, Game Genies, slow motion functions, or save states if playing on an emulator. Also, we will only be using NTSC systems for the contests. The use of PAL systems will NOT be allowed. Good luck everyone and have fun. "Destroy the Core!" - Warship, Core - 1985
  4. @NESfiend By playing till you lose your turtle on r=1, we can see the progress you made into the game in case a tie break proves to be needed. It is also an optimal spot for taking pictures since you have all the time in the world to take yours while the game is waiting for you to pick your next turtle.
  5. They are still incompetent as ever. Haven't you seen the latest Netflix show? They ain't catching me, that is for sure. For no one knows where in time I am.
  6. Ain't no one in the world knows where I am self quarantined, so it is fine!
  7. And posted! 25 participants. And breaking the 600K mark is what was needed to even place this week. This is heavy!
  8. I will update the scoreboard with the final results in a bit. Thanks you all for participating and making the contest fun!
  9. This is nice, has a nice cat and all, but you need to take your picture when you have the select your turtle option on R=1 or at the very start of R=0 with the game paused.
  10. Rules update. You can now play till your last life. Not that I remember this game having any, but no one up loops will be allowed. Have fun people. This is a good game, so play it till you reach R=0.
  11. I am also wondering if we should make this a play till life 0 contest. Could be more interesting and give more people the chance to get to Shredder.
  12. I think the usual "If you max the score, pause the game, take a picture. Lowest game progress win" would work well enough since different attacks give different amount of points.

  17. I am still salty that @arnpoly won that but I accept my defeat on the grounds that I am terrible at videogames.
