  2. Welcome, ladies and gentleman. Are you ready for some VIOLENCE? Our competitors will have to prove the value of their fists by tackling BOOTLEG Double Dragon, aka Target Renegade. We are not uncivilized savages, though, so here are the rules for this week's bout of VIOLENCE! Play until Game Over No looping the game. If you beat the game, pause as soon as the game starts back up. You may not play any part of a second loop. If you do, your score will be disqualified. You are allowed to use the extra life you get after you beat stage 1 Take your picture on the High Score screen (be quick it doesn't stay up long) or let the game start over, pause the game right away, and your score will be in the High Score spot. Highest score wins Participation : 4000 points GENRE: Beat ‘Em Up The contest ends Sunday, 07/19/20 at 11 PM VGS time. Your user name MUST be written or typed on a piece of paper and be in the picture for your score to be valid. The entire TV screen, or computer monitor if you are playing on an emulator, MUST be in the picture for the score to be valid. No partial screenshots will be considered or accepted. No screenshots by hitting "print screen" on a computer will be allowed. You must take a picture of your computer monitor. There may be instances where this will be acceptable, but it will be at the discretion of myself and the contest organizers. Also, the use of turbo controllers is forbidden, as well as any cheat codes, Game Genies, slow motion functions, or save states if playing on an emulator. Also, we will only be using NTSC systems for the contests. The use of PAL systems will NOT be allowed. Good luck everyone and have fun.
  3. Yes, you can play till your last life/continue. I will amend the rules to make it clearer.
  4. Final scoreboard posted. This week we crow @Tablew/chairs champion with a MASSIVE 176,020 points, way ahead of our 2nd place @0xDEAFC0DE with a respectable 123,060 points. Closing the top 3 we have @Gaia Gensouki with 108,840. Weekly contest leader and tournament favourite, @bertsampson was clearly on cruise control this week with 103,100 points. Closing the top 8, we had @Gloves, @Elkovsky, @Bearcat-Doug and @Richardhead with acceptable scores over 60K points. @Kid Dracula was strangely absent this week. Let's see what our competitors will bring to the table with Micro Machines!

  10. Scoreboard posted as promised.
  11. I will post the scoreboard tonight. Things have been a bit complicated here.
  12. Hell no. THE hell no. Got life 0, take your picture and your run ENDED. If you decided to keep practising after it, fine, but your run came to an end as soon as you hit life 0 for the first time.
  13. Final scoreboard posted. Hopefully I didn't miss anyone.
  14. I will post the final score tonight. It is a pity that the rules didn't help with this week. I couldn't fully foolproof them before posting. My fault. I will kindly ask you all to bring concerns regarding the rules to my inbox so I can act over them quicker. Thank you all for participating.
  15. I will only consider something as point pressing if you deliberately keep revisiting a screen to get points. If it happened because of a missed jump or game messing you up, it is fair game. Can't control that at all. Post that 90K score and it will be accepted.
  16. The answer for that is "git gud"!
