  1. Disregard. Fresh starts all over here. It'd be weird as a new user who's never been on NA to tee people with a bunch of "fake" feedback.

For stuff like the NES contest and stuff it's fine, but I don't want there to be anybody being accused of being disingenuous with their feedback.

    THAAAAAT SAID.

You could always post a link in your feedback thread to your NA profile and reference that you have feedback on there. Lots of people do that with lots of sites on lots of forums, especially when they're new. Consider everybody here as "new". It's not unusual when coming to a new place to do trades to say "here's my eBay profile for feedback references". Same thing. In fact I'd encourage you to put an many such references as you like in the OP of your personal feedback thread.

  2. For now this is a quick to-do, but will be built out as we can find the time.

Step 1) Create a thread in this subforum entitled "Gloves' Feedback Thread" or something to that effect (with your username not mine!).

Step 2) When you've entered into a deal with another member of the site, post in your own thread saying you've done so.

Step 3) When the transaction is completed, post in the OTHER person's thread providing feedback on the transaction.

    Step 4) ???

    Step 5) Profit!

Let me know if you have any feedback or suggestions, but for now please follow the above!

Just keep banking whatever surplus you get.   Like Jone said (and you already know) the monthly costs can go up.

Plus there may be update and feature software fees down the road as well.   Better to have too much than not enough and have to scramble.

That's absolutely the plan! By "excess" I definitely mean well enough in excess of the needed funds that even if we go up a tier or two in the costs we'll still be good for at least a year. If we ever get into a super comfy or "profitable" state, the hope is to put it back into the community somehow.

  4. Generally these days I go to ebay and do the work myself. Since the game valuation sites only go by sold listings, they may not quiiiite accurately represent the current trends. For instance a game that doesn't sell a lot (perhaps a rare title) can have a "value" from up to a few YEARS ago. According to GVN Spanky's Quest on SNES CIB is only $35 or so USD. I'd drop that right this instant if someone had a CIB copy for sale in good shape; realistically it's actually valued about twice that.

  5. Bear in mind too that there are Tags when you create a thread. You could always add your country in the Tags if you specifically want that info just on your WTB/WTS thread(s). In fact if people actually used them in that way, you'd be able to click the tag for, say, "Canada", and you'd see a stream of relevant content.

Nope. Didn’t see anything like that and felt .../discover/unread was closest to what you asked. Have a look at .../discover (without /unread) which shows more kinds of activity. Still not exactly what you posted about, though.

@Gloves what is the difference between articles and blogs? I would think blogs would be a series of articles, but there are posts in blogs, and nothing yet in articles, so that must not be how it’s supposed to work.

I’m glad that you want to get more focus on that kind of more formal, long-form content. I checked the front page of NA rarely and sporadically, because that matched the publishing schedule. Looking forward to what people come up with, and I will consider trying my hand at some writing.

Articles are from the staff. Thus far we've been a bit busy so nothing up yet.
