Of course I find my biggest prize in the wild AFTER I leave the collecting scene.

As some of you know, I recently sold my entire gaming collection and use those funds to pay off my student and car loans. Ironically, weeks later, I scored one of my biggest bundles ever.

I still have my Criagslist wanted ads that I’ve used for years in my area. That ad stopped bringing in contacts a while ago, but out of the blue a guy emailed me about having some games available. He said that he cleaned out houses and got a bundle he wanted to sell. I got his phone number and had him text me some pictures of the lot (shown in the image gallery). As I scanned the end labels of the NES titles, I immediately noticed the light green label of one of the rarest titles in the library. A game that a used to own and sold along with the rest of my collection.

Crazy to think that these scores do still happen in the wild. I haven’t found any bundles in several months and that was a small reason why I decided to cash out. Will this bring me back into seriously game collecting? No, I doubt it. I’m content with my the consoles I kept and the Everdrives that are arriving.

I guess you just never know what is still out there.

This is insane and congrats.  But you know what, after "getting out of collecting" to pay debts, this is a great way to kickstart the habit hobby again, if you've paid those debts off.

Absolutely crazy that someone on here found a Little Samson in the wild.  Any chance it had the manual?

Ha. I don't know about that. It had probably been 6 months since that last time I ever scored anything in the wild back when I was seriously collecting.

And no, it didn't have the manual.
