Autosave

So I was playing Kirby's Dream Land 2. It's nice that the game automatically saves what level you're on AND which doors have been beaten. It kind of reminded me of Frank the Fruit Fly. But, it didn't autosave. The player had to press Select whenever he wanted to save. Seeing as how you can't go back in the game, I wanted to have an autosave feature as well. So I did some deleting of code that requires a "select" press mid-game to save, and instead told the game to save when a new level has been put on. Thus, autosave has been enabled in my game.

In doing so, room in bank 2 increased. But not by very much, instead of 200 bytes free it's now only 300 bytes free, so I still can't make any huge improvements to the game. I tested my autosaving. It works great. So now I can continue on with level 6. But I need to get inspired to work on this since I've been doing it for a few years now. And simply just being bored is not enough. I have to want to work on it. Forcing myself to work on it may end up in me getting unpleasant, and we don't want that. We want a content GameGearGuy. Perhaps I should change my username. I only chose it because it was my username on Sega Age.

Celebrated turkey day a few days late. Went over to my sister's house. She was serving ham, not turkey, which I was a little let down because I wanted turkey. I had to wake up to go. It was at 1:15 p.m. when I woke up. Now my sleeping schedule is all screwed up. I don't know whether I should go back to sleep or not. I went to sleep at about 9 a.m.
