  1. I'm in this camp too. I've had stuff like this come my way in the past that I've cracked open and found maybe some sign of the contents being HANDLED but not really used. Maybe damaged wrap stuff that distros resealed? Not sure on how/why this happened, wonder if anyone else here can shed some light.
  2. Could also be a distro reseal which can look a bit nicer.
  3. I've been selling these for years, had close to 50 at one point. I bought them from someone who was on the wholesale side in the early 00s and squirreled them away for a rainy day.
  4. Looks suspect to me, don't like that vent hole. Maybe a distro re-seal as others here have suggested.
  5. Yeah, didn't mean to dispute, just wanted to add a footnote. Agreed on all counts.
  6. Old thread, I know, but wanted to mention that games whose wrap have large vent holes can end up with debris under the wrap. Have had many games come my way like this - stored in dusty boxes for 10-30 years with debris under the wrap. Obviously if there aren't any vent holes this is a red flag but always good to remember to examine a game holistically.
  7. With NES games, I'd leave them intact. As Hammerfestus points out, those bottom flaps are very easy to damage (even minimally). But for any box (NES or otherwise) in excellent shape, I would avoid flattening. Pack it like you would a CIB game: bubblewrap + void fill + sturdy box. For less fickle boxes (e.g. SNES, N64) with wear, I flatten, place between cardboard flats, and slide into a bubble mailer. Make sure the fit is fairly snug, don't want the game box to slide out between the flats (or you can tape a couple sides).
  8. The seal on Courier Crisis is the most common Saturn seal: overlapping vertical seam down the back, hang tab, and vent holes. This is the easiest, safest seal to identify imo. Some titles have vent holes and hang tab but do NOT have an overlapping seam (Sega Touring Car and Duke Nukem 3D, for example). While the presence of vent holes is a very reliable indicator, their absence is not a reliable contra-indicator, e.g. a Saturn game with vent holes is almost certainly factory sealed but a game without vent holes is NOT almost certainly a reseal. Seals often vary by manufacturer and the more obscure the publisher the more difficult it is to establish authenticity. First party is generally easiest. Here, I'd suggest looking at other Vic Tokai published Saturn games if you can't find another sealed Valora. Here's a Shinobi Legions that looks like yours: https://www.ebay.com/itm/134125975571 So re: Valora - while it's tough to say with certainty, my gut says that's a legit seal. I've sold hundreds of sealed Saturn games and this one seems OK. One more obvious tell is to look closely at the case/manual/insert/whatever you can to check for any visible wear that would only occur if the game had been opened. Hope this helps!
  9. I believe the actual slots for the memory cards are prone to failure and/or are extremely fickle. The Action Replay cards are also poorly built so determining if it's the card or the slot that's failed can be difficult. I, too, would love a solution here as these have always been a headache for me. Or is it as simple as paying up for an OEM memory cart?

You got it. Just the Retrogen, not the other one too? It's a Yobo FC16 Go (OT-8868).

Yeah, for sure, but the headset is a PC headset, not an Xbox headset. Not sure if you can use an adapter or not. Yours if you want it though! I'll DM tomorrow and we'll get details figured out.

Clearing some space, offering the following items for the price of shipping. Take however much you want, I'd just ask that folks only take items they have a genuine interest in. List: Plantronics GameCom 1 Headset - NEW TEMPORARILY CLAIMED Konami DDR Mat for Dreamcast w/ box (maybe manual?) - I tested this years ago and couldn't get it to work. Maybe it's broken, maybe I was impatient? You be the judge. Mad Catz ORIGINAL Xbox Blaster x2 - I cannot test these and BOTH have cables covered in melted rubber band. I started cleaning one, have not touched the other. I suspect these will work but I don't want to deal with removing the rubber bands (this will require some TLC). CLAIMED Retrogen in box + some other clone handheld - no idea if these work TEMPORARILY CLAIMED NES Hard Cart Case x4 - x3 OEM (one blue), x1 generic - all fairly worn CLAIMED Naki Turbo Twin Battery Pak for Game Gear PAL RELEASE - SEALED - PAL RELEASE, prob not gonna work anyway given its age though PSP Console Box + Docs - Description: https://www.ebay.com/itm/125206346173 Again, just cover actual shipping for any items you'd like. Thanks!
  14. It's also possible that you did see a sealed one but it was sealed by a store/distributor.
