I didn't keep track but I saw two or three  sources saying it was going to be in English and Japanese - no other languages though.

Thanks. I've always wanted to play this game so I'll pick it up. I'm not normally into CE but this one looks really nice.

Unfortunately it is rather pricey - but so far this is the only way to get a physical copy - which offers English as an option.

I checked out play Asia but there is no mention that it has English and normally they do for games with dual language. I did find an article on a website called NintendoSoup mentioning it does. Do you have any other sources?

  3. 9/10 but definitely a very high 9. Probably one of my favourite metal bands and their influence is still going to this day.

As a side, if people haven't seen the documentary series called Metal Evolution I recommend checking it out. The interviews with all the metal royalty are fantastic no matter what genre of metal you enjoy.

Ok, I have an idea.  I know we have a few members here that are in Asia.  Let's place a group order and get about 50-200 original, famicom Super Mario Bros shipped over here that we've each laid claim too.  We can all get 3-5.

Once our boat (literally) comes in, we can start posting to social media a BIG, BIG hype-train about the original "genesis" of Mario being that game.  Hype, hype, hype, and then we can coordinate pushing these through Heritage.  We can make millions each!

Sounds great! But instead of selling through Heritage we can cut out the middle man and sell very tiny pieces of the games ourselves.

GoCollect has an ownership share in Wata and bought out GVN.  They are making a conscious decision to eliminate the VGA tracking to push more people to Wata.  Let's just be transparent about that.  They are doing this with profit in mind.

Thanks for this post, I didn’t realise GVN were owned by Go Collect. Definitely glad I moved on now.

Truth is though, you're a drop in the bucket and they won't mourn the loss of the 10-20 people on here who stop using their service in protest.

This is true, but if those people pass on their distaste for GVN and highlight data inaccuracies then that can draw more people away. The last few posts in this thread alone have had valuable information why not to use this service.

So when i ask understand that as a collector data is everything and is only as good as the data provided.

I think this is a good point and what turned me off GVN.

I’ve always been an excel guy for tracking collections but I thought I would try one of the online ones.

I initially tried GVN because it was mentioned on this site but I found that the data is really inaccurate. The AUD prices for a lot of games are extremely inaccurate and sometimes the prices don’t even reflect the link you click on.
This turned me off it and I moved on.
Also to now read that it won’t be including VGA sales, that makes it even more inaccurate data.

Some of it seems a little political... Which I'm not even sure how they worked into a video game doc... That parts kind of annoying

I just finished that episode and I was disappointed they threw in those political scenes. It added nothing to the episode and felt like it was in there just so Netflix can add it to their quotas.

I’ve noticed this has become a big trend with US media lately and has actually driven me towards exploring more European and Japanese media.

  8. Just a heads up if you're a horror fan that Friday the 13th & Remothered: Tormented Fathers are available on Amazon for a pretty good price. Haven't played either but I've heard they're meant to be decent games.

Also noticing Void Trrlm();//Void Terrarium is getting harder to find online (not sure about in store because I'm not in the US). I was hoping it would drop below retail, but I'm not sure if it will, so I grabbed a copy.

Same for PS4 version. Don’t think it had a large print run. The switch is one your going to have to watch. With min print runs of 5,000 copies and the boom in digital acceptance I expect certain niche games to become hard to find. Look at Samurai Shodown for the switch which is semi popular. That went out of print quick

Yeah I think you’re right. I found it strange because it only came out in April for the switch. Maybe it sold really badly and they didn’t bother with a second print run and will just keep it digital.

  10. Has anyone else noticed Disaster Report 4 is getting hard to find? I went to pick it up the other day and there was only one place I could find it and they only had 2 left in stock.
I got it for retail but places like Amazon were selling it for well over retail price. This game hasn’t been out long, so not sure what is going on.

If you haven't read The Old Man and the Sea you must, it's my favorite Hemingway novel. I've known some people, including literary critics, that don't like Hemingway because "too much machismo". The hell with them. Read Hemingway and enjoy!

I’ve  heard that’s also one of his best novels. I’ll check it out.

I agree with you, that’s why I try to avoid too many reviews these days because I feel a lot of people like to push their agenda (like saying Hemingway is too macho) and just enjoy what I read.

I have those Feist and Hobb books... some day.

haha yeah I know the feeling. If I was to recommend one to start first it would be Assassin's Apprentice.

I really enjoy WWI literature. Also a big fan of Hemingway. That said, if you enjoy WWI literature you have to read (if you haven't yet) All Quiet on the Western Front. One of the greatest anti-war novels ever written.

I haven't read many war novels, Catch 22 is probably the last one I read, which was a few years ago now. This one really got me interested so I will definitely check out All Quiet on the Western Front. I'd heard so many mixed reviews on this book (and Hemingway) but I'm glad I checked it out. What would be your next recommendation for Hemingway? I've heard For Whom the Bell Tolls is excellent.

  13. Finished a few books recently.

    A farewell to arms- Hemingway

I really enjoyed this book, I’ve always had Hemingway on my list of authors to read and finally got around to it. The writing style at the time must have blown people away with how minimalist it is.

    Assassin’s Apprentice- Robin Hobb

I’ve had many people recommend this book over the years and finally gave it a go. The first third of the book felt very slow to me but I pushed on and it just got better and better. Fantasy books can become predictable but this one had me on edge all the way. Even down to the epilogue. I look forward to continuing the series.

    Magician- Raymond E Feist

I’ve wanted to read this book since I was a kid but always put it off. A great fantasy book and I can see why it is well regarded.

I’ve started book 1 of the Murderbot Diaries and am enjoying it so far.

But Ive always HATED Gamefaq style guides. 5 pages of scrolling and your not even out of the index.

This made me laugh because it reminds me of all the old JRPGs on there. Five pages later, they’re still going through the items and magic/summons.

I normally would just ctrl-f to what I wanted.

Glad to see there is still some love for the written walkthroughs. And @Gloves that is crazy you’ve written so many trophy guides. Did you write the persona 5 one? That one was amazing.

I dunno.  Written walkthroughs are often walls of text that aren't necessarily very clear.  Video lays it out pretty specifically and thoroughly.

One day you’re going to look back on those walls of text and appreciate their beauty haha.
I’m guessing from the responses it’s just a me thing and I’ll need to adapt to the times.

I’ll always have my walls of texts Final Fantsay gamefaqs walkthroughs to look back on with nostalgia.

  16. This is probably more a question related to modern gaming as opposed to retro gaming.

Have you noticed that written walkthroughs are getting harder to find because everyone and their dog has to be on YouTube?
I’m probably going to sound like an old man here, but I prefer written walkthroughs over video walkthroughs.
They’re easy to search through with the find function, no annoying commentary and I also like to read people’s interpretation of events.

Do I just need to learn to get with the times?
