I'm quite surprised nobody's mentioned Psycho here yet. May be a basic pick, but it's such a timeless film I can't help but watch every year. That and the 30s Universal monster movies, something about those has a weird charm to them.

PS2, I got it when I was 6. Or first console that was bought for me specifically was the Wii, I got it for my 8th birthday. I'm 21 now. You're welcome for feeling old

To me yes, but I'd say that's only because I've got into PC games since I got a computer capable of running things like DiRT Rally and Forza really well. I reckon give it two years and there'll be a lot of people excited about this new gen as more games come out that innovate the hardware.

I tend to largely stick to my favourite game franchises- Mario and Sonic, however since I've got most of them for all the systems I own I've slowly begun branching out to favourite genres. One I've particularly got into the past few years are rally simulation games, and the PS1/2 era has an insane amount of unknown amazing rally games. The Colin McRae and WRC series are my favourites, but I've discovered some amazing obscure games by collecting the genre. Would highly recommend this collecting method to anyone that has a specific interest in a few genres.

Well, this is an entertaining read! Thanks everyone
Been gone four days and the thread has doubled in length. Very reminiscent of contentious NintendoAge threads, pulled me right out of inactivity!

Playing things I can pick up in small bursts since I've been low on time as of late. Playing through Art of Balance on the Switch (fantastic eshop title, would highly recommend), Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed on Steam, and Sonic Drift 2 (3DS virtual console- people don't like this but after learning how to play it I don't find it that bad).

At least here in New Zealand if you don't have cable the only other real way to watch the olympics as far as I'm aware is on the free streaming service by state-funded network TVNZ. Been amazing watching the Kiwi events, four golds so far which is great.

31 dollars shipping!? Aside from that, fantastic find and great you got a few in working order again!
(Just realised this is a pretty big bump, got any others fixed since posting?)

I really enjoyed Sonic Forces. Going into it I didn't expect much because of the scathing reviews, but I found it to be good enough for what it is. I'm probably going to replay it in the next few months or so.

Were you not saying it in a sentence in which the other word would contextually make no sense whatsoever?
It wouldn't have made any sense no! I was saying something like 'I can't find my way to X restaurant, do you know where it is?' Definitely wasn't swearing at the guy

Somewhat strong Kiwi/New Zealand accent. When I used to go to US for holidays (want to go back so badly), there were more people than I'd like to say that didn't really understand what I was saying at times. The funniest one to me that I didn't recognize until it was pointed out to me a few years back is that I say butter like 'budda'. We just don't really emphasize t's and r's in normal dialect here. The most notable differences would be the way we say 'can't' and 'dance'. When I was in US last someone looked like they were going to get angry when I said 'can't', because they thought it was a different word that isn't really said in public often.
No... I do not sound Australian.
Not self-promoting my videos (at all), here's what I sound like if anyone's curious: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCMn46BWo8CfYpPL2KOsMPjQ

Really regret not getting Mario Kart 64 CIB when it was relatively cheap. I have the cart and manual but the box, especially here in New Zealand sells for exorbitant prices when it pops up so it's not happening.
I also find it pretty sad to think that I passed on Pokemon Trading Card Game for GBC CIB a few years ago because "50 bucks is too much for it". If only I knew...

Pretty cool; I'll have to check it out some time. I haven't seen many of the more obscure silent films out there, but the big names like Caligari, Nosferatu, Metropolis, etc all have prominent places in my movie collection
Those are all fantastic films! I'd make retrospectives on them, but the most fun is in featuring films that are forgotten to time. Possibly in the future! I was originally wanting to do a piece on Nosferatu so maybe!

Hey everyone,
I've started a YouTube channel focusing on old and obscure media, with my current focus being silent films. The channel, [Citation Needed], is named the way it is to show what impressive feats were made when technology was much more limited and the innovations directors had to make to overcome these limitations. Information about early cinema is often sparse and hard to find, so by discussing it all in one place gaps of information are being filled. If you want to hear an early-20s Kiwi/New Zealander talk about old films with an NZ accent then have a look at my videos! More will be released in time. Thanks.

Of all time? Hey Ya! by OutKast. I don't know what it is about the song, but every time I listen to it I'm instantly uplifted and lulled into a really happy mood, which is strange considering the lyrics are anything but happy. Definitely helps that I grew up with the song (it came out a couple weeks before I was three years old (I'm 21 soon, 2003 was indeed 19 years ago)).

Right now in my final year of a Bachelor of Communications degree, and keep the lights on with student tutoring. Working towards getting a teaching diploma next year. Hopefully in 18 months time full time teaching Media, which would be very rewarding.

No, we didn't get it here we just got a water bottle or posters or a phone badge, depending on the retailer
That's a shame. I'm not sure why we got it here and you didn't, especially considering how small of a country New Zealand is. It seems to be a PAL bonus going by a UK retailer site, so maybe most of Europe got it too.

I think 3D Land will be locked to the 3DS only bc the 3D in that game is outstanding and completely necessary. Anyone who plays that game with the 3D off is missing at least half of the experience.
I wish the would've added post game content to 3D World like they did in 3D Land. Remixed levels, a minus world, a bonus world are all things that have been left behind from 3D Land that were really defining features of the gameplay experience. I remember shidding when the entire game opened back up with remixed and brand new levels, for all 8 world.
That added content would add so much to 3D Land. It's not overly short when trying to 100% it, but it's not that long either. Always felt like it was missing something, especially after going through 3D World originally in 2013.

Funnily enough I added that to my netflix list about an hour ago! Keeping that in mind I'll bump it up the list of films to watch on the 31st
