  1. We're up to 250 games beaten after ten days. Here's how that compares to previous years: 250 300 Time 2012 29-Jan 06-Feb 8 days 2013 07-Jan 14-Jan 7 days 2014 06-Jan 11-Jan 5 days 2015 04-Jan 06-Jan 2 days 2016 05-Jan 08-Jan 3 days 2017 04-Jan 10-Jan 6 days 2018 06-Jan 09-Jan 3 days 2019 22-Jan 14-Feb 23 days 2020 11-Jan 17-Jan 6 days 2021 06-Jan 08-Jan 2 days 2022 15-Jan 22-Jan 7 days 2023 10-Jan ??? ???

  3. After my yearly excruciating 45 minutes of NFL Football, it's finally over:
  4. lol, I'm playing Major League Baseball, and the game actually soft-locked after hitting a grand slam. The runners won't go home I guess. Worthless kusoge....
  5. Cyberball finished. This game is actually easier to play on the advanced difficulty, since it makes you select a play type before the actual play. The clock runs down on both screens, so you can waste twice as much time.
  6. Three Stooges beaten. Took me longer to get the stupid cart to work than to actually beat it. $5,000 to get the worst ending then purposefully game over.
  7. Spelunker defeated. Like 5 deaths, but still a comfortable clear thanks to some 1ups.
  8. Twin Eagle, one life clear. It's important to always use your bombs whenever the green tanks than shoot the circular missiles show up. Don't even think about it, just use them. I'm not sure why the score counter goes to the ten millions when I only ended up with around 635,000 points.
  9. Out of the 113 games that went unbeaten in 2022, 87 had also gone unbeaten in a previous year. That means 26 games went uncleared for the first time: Alpha Mission, Athena, Bill & Ted's Excellent Video Game Adventure, Bo Jackson Baseball, California Games, Castle of Dragon, Chubby Cherub, Dash Galaxy in the Alien Asylum, Dragon's Lair, Gemfire, Genghis Khan, Jimmy Connors Pro Tennis Tour, Kiwi Kraze, Legend of Kage, Raid on Bungeling Bay, Section Z, Shooting Range, Star Soldier, Starship Hector, Strider, Tecmo Baseball, Tom & Jerry, Uncharted Waters, Wizardry: Knight of Diamonds, World Class Track Meet, Xevious Overall, 416/662 games have still been beaten in all 11 years (2012-22), or 62.84%. The lowest ranked game to be beaten every year is Ren & Stimpy Buckaroos, a 9 pointer at 587th overall. The next lowest in order are: Wall Street Kid, James Bond Jr, Where in Time is Carmen Sandiego, NES Play Action Football, Prince of Persia, and 3D Worldrunner.
  10. We're at 85/677 after 24 hours. Here's how that compares to previous years: 2012 26 2013 164 2014 158 2015 131 2016 132 2017 167 2018 122 2019 73 2020 68 2021 94 2022 65 2023 85
  11. Also, heading into this year, the only game you've beaten for 10 straight years is Operation Wolf. The only game with a longer streak is me and Amagon.
  12. Probably cuz it's a longer game than some of the other 5 minute ones. And a lot of the world 8 stages are not the most fun if you just warp. Looks like it's been 9/10 years for you. Seppatoni beat it in 2017.
  13. Amagon is complete once again on January 1st. Honestly, my play was really bad. Guess I need to play more NES stuff, because I was quite rusty and died a bunch.
  14. It's actually right. Let me explain: The points are based on the last 5 years, so the 2017 data was replaced with the 2022 data. And Nightshade was beaten 29 spots higher in 2017 vs 2022, so it ended up losing a bit of ground - falling from 589th to 598th overall. The final 9 point game is #595, so it was barely was a 9 last year, and now just barely fell into the 10s this year.
  15. New thread is up: https://www.videogamesage.com/forums/topic/11709-nes-completions-thread-2023/ 10 minutes until the competition start for 2023! I haven't figured out the bonus games list yet, sorry. I'll try to get that done this weekend.
