Ghostbusters in the pinnacle of smart, witty comedy that works for people of all ages.  All I saw was the 2016 trailer, and it screamed dumbed down, obnoxious "Ha-ha queef is funny" humor.  Sure, that can be funny, but not under the Ghostbusters tree,

So ghost BJs and dickless Walter Peck jokes are the pinnacle of smart comedy but you draw the line at fart jokes?  (The queef was implied.)

Ghostbusters is a 10 for sure, and the best of the franchise by a mile, but we're not talking Shakespeare here.

This has to be a troll? 2016 Ghostbusters is just a terrible terrible movie. No way that garbage heap rates higher than 2.

2016 is legit funny and we watch it almost as frequently as the OG.  And Chris Hemsworth is hysterical as Kevin.  I get it if Melissa McCarthy puts some people out but what about this movie is bad?

My impression is that people just saw "Girl Ghostbusters" and generally flew off the handle without giving it a real shot.  2016 is mostly played for laughs and it delivers.

  3. It's a 6 for the Bobby Brown song alone.  Plus they drive the Statue of Liberty with the NES Advantage.  It had some great scenes (the courtroom) and I liked Vigo the Carpathian, but it falls a little flat.  Still decent and nostalgia puts it on par with the two new movies, but it's the weakest entry of the franchise if I'm being objective.

    Ghostbusters > Ghostbusters 2016 > Ghostbusters 2 ≥ Ghostbusters ≥ Ghostbusters Frozen Empire ≥ Ghostbusters Afterlife

  4. Absolute favorite TV show of all time.  First 9 seasons are all killer.  Got started day one with the Tracy Ulman shorts and was super excited when the show was announced.

My crew of friends were watching religiously by the mid 90s.  Remember when Fox ran back to back reruns every fucking day at 6 pm?  And on Sundays you'd get at minimum three episodes.  The golden age...

But I generally have the same take as Reed; Season 10 jumped the shark and it's never been the same.  And while that era isn't great, I'd say the show really tanked when it went to HD in Season 20.  That was the last season I really paid any attention to.

The animation became too slick and stiff.  The early seasons had some of my favorite animation in any cartoon.  It had a great fluid action and slightly surreal quality.  Twister mouths rule.  This is how you should pronounce Robot btw.

Still an occasional good good episode though.  The Treehouse usually hits one of the three stories and I'm a sucker for Kang and Kodos.  And the Lego episode is pretty amazing.  But I don't go out of my way to watch new episodes.

Do the Bartman reference before I dip.

  5. Pretty much all valid opinions in here.  And I'm certainly not above clicking on dumb shit on the internet, that's what it's for.

But I'm not an outlier by any means.  I don't know if any of you peruse the vehicle sales but it's common to see a car or motorcycle that is just a little too good to be true, and when you look at the seller they've posted the same $1200 2015 Honda across multiple states.  It's always a relatively normal unassuming legit profile and you kinda just wonder why they're scam posting.  It's really weird.

Anyway, I got an update.  My profile is unlocked but now I'm banned from the marketplace. 🙄

  6. So I hadn't been on Facebook for a few years.  My previous account was pretty inactive and got hacked and taken over.  It happened at like 3 am and I was completely locked out by the time I woke up was able to respond to the email that warns you when you log in from another device.

I tried to appeal and contact FB with a copy of my ID and couldn't get any traction.  Wasted tons of time trying to recover.  So I totally gave it up and said never again.

Fast forward to last year; I created another account so I can use the marketplace.  It all went well and I bought a motorcycle in the fall.  And I've been browsing for video games of course.  I hate it but it's a bit better than Craigslist as a marketplace.

Then today, I posted a motorcycle for sale on the market and it was going well.  I had a couple good hits with interested people.  Then, my shit somehow got hacked again, and two identical sales posts for a cheap Honda Civic were made under my account and I started getting flooded with responses.

So I deleted the sales posts for the cars.  And my account got blocked while I was in talks with people who legit wanted to see the bike.  I appealed, and even if my account is reinstated, it still killed the potential sales I had going.

This is the bike I'm selling.

  7. One of the all time greats and some of the best animation on TV.  Can't believe it lasted as long as it did.  And I don't give a crap about today's standards.  Cartoon domestic violence is hilarious.  I crack up every time Ren slaps the shit outta Stimpy.

    Shame about John K though.

That reminded me of the time I was on a message board where someone said "I found this awesome song! It's Bob Dylan doing a cover of GnR's Knocking on Heaven's Door!"

And everyone was like "WTF? Did you think GnR did the original?"

He was like, "Yeah ... didn't they?"

And then the whole board went apeshit. 😄

    Also better than the original.

I dunno. Interactive movies can be cool sometimes. I enjoyed Black Mirror:  Bandersnatch

I enjoyed it for what it was but the novelty kinda wore thin.  I would not have gone out of my way if I didn't already have Netflix.

I might give it a shot if it makes it's way to PS+.  Looks like it's a premium title at the moment.  Def not going to bite on the upgrade.
