Tongue of the Fatman (a pre SFII fighting game on the PC)

I bought Fireball Island and enjoyed it, but I was a huge fan of the original (unfortunately I don't know what happened to my copy. I assume my parents got rid of it, although they claim they didn't). The Dark Tower also looks really cool, but I just don't think I can swing that high of a price tag again, especially for a game I don't have a personal connection.

I was never that much into wrestling as a kid and even I got swept up into hulkamania. I had this:

I dig the art. I say keep with the style. Can you provide a link to the .bin? I'd be happy to give it a try.

I'm sober, and I still like Phil Collins

I guess you could say the Aladdin Deck Enhancer games, all but 1 got rereleased as normal size cartridges...

What about games that are clearly inferior ports of games from other platforms? IMO stuff like Parasol Stars, etc. has no business on NES XD
It's a slippery slope of course, as you also have stuff like NES Contra which might look inferior at first, but anyone into the series could tell you it's much better than the original.Wasn't Mike Tyson's the original?
This one predates the Mike Tyson release: http://www.nvmusa.org/archives/punch-out-gold-cartridge

not things I sold, but...
I regret I never took the time to learn how to repair my pinball machine and I didn't have any room for it in my new house. My parents eventually sold it for $100 just to get it out of their house.
I also wish I new what had happened to: My original 2600& Games, my old board games and toys... My parents said they didn't get rid of them. But they are gone without a trace.

If Attack from Mars (they said they want at least 10 tables) has Monster Bash and Cirqus Voltaire I think I'd buy it day one. Those are 2 of my absolute favorite Williams games. I played them so much on pinball arcade. Would be awesome to own them as a virtual pinball machine. If they are doing only Midway then I either hope they let you buy tables for any machine you own or just hope for a Williams announce at E3.
I don't think it will include Monster Bash, as I believe they are doing a separate machine for Universal licenses.
Some of my other favorite Williams machines are Theatre of Magic, Funhouse, and Medieval Madness (even though its somewhat of a pallete swap for Attack from Mars)

I might have to pick up that Attack from Mars for the kiddos.
Attack from Mars is one of my favorite pins, but I wouldn't never be able to afford or fit the real thing in my house... I want this bad!

Where's all my Atari lovers over in the high score thread?
I posted a poll there for January, and have gotten 0 votes. Its kind of embarrassing.

Arcade 1up is killing it! They are the most exciting company in the retro gaming space imo.

back in the day, everyone I knew considered their TENGEN games to be NES games. they just had a different mold. They were sold alongside NES games in toy stores, and advertised in all the gaming mags. The Nintendo Seal of Quality didn't really mean shit. I mean they slapped that on X-men and Bigfoot.

I was planning to go on Sunday. But didn't end up feeling motivated enough to do anything. Maybe next year. I saw some wild photos on facebook. Looks like people are trying hard to get the event disinvited from the Gaylord.

I might sell off some of my duplicates this year.
I still have a few games I need, but they are kind of rare and expensive, so I'm not that excited to shell out the big bucks.

This thread will be going into hibernation mode. Feel free to continue to post scores, but I'm not going to create any more challenges unless there is interest.

Maybe even a media mail box filled with manuals and magazines!
Media mail strict forbids magazines (or any print material that contains advertising) If the postmaster does a spot inspection (which has happened to a few people I know), they will deliver it postage due, and your name will be added to a list for increased inspections.

I will finish my graphic novel, attend some conventions to sell it at.
write a new script.
For videogame stuff: I'll probably keep playing Atari games for the monthly challenge thread (even though I'm the only one doing it so far). get a spinner for my 1up. keep an eye out if I can ever find one on clearance.
(and lose weight. cliche though it may be.)

River Raid 2 has a lot going on. It keeps the shooter+ fuel management of the original and adds in having to alternate between air and land/sea attacks as well as take off and landing sequences. (Fortunately they are easier than Top Gun. Most of the points are scored from the land based targets of the river section. Unfortunately it's easy to run out of fuel here as well.

The only Nintendo one I ever ate was Donkey Kong which basically was re-branded captain crunch I think, or very close to it.
Different shape, but pretty much the same taste as Cap'n crunch

What's the 'obscure-iest' game you played as a kid?
in The Gauntlet

I had Lost Magic too.. On paper is sounds like I would love it... Real Time Strategy. Casting spells with by drawing runes with the stylus. I just didn't like it very much.
