  1. I played in a band all throughout college and for a few years after the fact. Haven’t set up my kit in some time now, but I still have it. It’s a Pearl Masters, birch custom. I think the shells are 10, 12, and 14 inch toms, a 22 inch kick, and I have a Chad Smith signature snare. For cymbals I had 14 inch Zildjian Mastersound hihats, a 16 inch Zildjian K Dark Crash, an 18 inch A medium crash, and a 20 inch Zildian A light ride. I’m not a big “Signature” guy, as I find it to be kind of lame. But that Chad Smith snare is meeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaan though. It’s black nickle-plated steel, and cuts like a knife. I had it tuned super high, and it hurt your teeth when you hit it. It was loud. I definitely miss playing, but I’m so strapped for time at the moment and the kit can be loud (obviously). I plan on setting it up once my youngest is a bit older.
  2. Much of the reason I've been absent from the console-related forums is due to my love of Pinball. I've spent a lot more time over on Pinside as a result. I currently only own a Sorcerer machine, but have owned the following over the past few years: Party Zone Lethal Weapon 3 Tales From The Crypt Fish Tales Black Rose Super Mario Bros World Cup Soccer Ripley's Believe it or Not Road Show Twilight Zone (I've actually owned two different examples) (Stern) Kiss Pro Lord of the Rings Full Throttle Ghostbusters Limited Edition Metallica Pro Spiderman (Owned both a standard and Limited Edition) The Who Pinball WIzard Time Machine Deadpool Premium There's a few things I love about pinball. First off: The replay value. You can shoot the same shot 1,000 times in a row, and have the ball bounce 1,000 different ways. Secondly: My schedule. I can play a 5-10 minute game between jobs and get a ton of enjoyment out of it. Thirdly: The cost and size. When I'm dropping $5,000-$10,000 a game, I can only buy so many at a time. Additionally, I can only accommodate so many machines in my game room. This forces me to constantly rotate the collection. With NES games, I could compulsively buy prototypes and store hundreds on a single shelf. Definitely not the case with pinball. Lastly: Working on them! I spend WAY more time refurbishing and fixing project machines than actually playing them. My latest machine, Sorcerer, was purchased as a non-working project. I tore that bitch apart and she's running better than ever. I'll sell that game for a small markup, and put it towards the next one once I've had my fill.
  3. Wow, that's fantastic. There should be some real consideration into making that the official mascot. It's insanely well done.
  4. Bringing the kids trick or treating. My oldest is super excited this year, so I'm looking forward to it more than usual.
  5. Josh Gordon out for the season. Overpaying for Sanu makes a bit more sense knowing that I suppose.
  6. I hadn’t gone to the movies in something like six years, but Mark took me out to see Joker last week. Thought it was fantastic.
  7. Terrible trade honestly. A 2nd rounder for Sanu? Blah. Seems like a lot for that caliber of receiver.
  8. I'd like to see them rest him until the bye. Give him the most time possible to recover. He might be the single most exciting player in the league. I'd hate to see him be rushed back before he has to.
  9. Everything I’ve read says he’s good to go in a few weeks. That knee looked horrific though. I immediately thought he’d be done for the season.
  10. You're not wrong, but they can only play who they put in front of them. The next seven games are going to show a lot more of what they're really about.
  11. The Pats are up by a billion over The Jets and on their way to 7-0. Not a bad start to the season, or this forum!
