  1. I feel like this is a question that has many different variables to consider. Many games that have a box art change but identical game I would consider the BOX to be a variant but not the actual game. But if code changes on the game itself, I would consider it a variant game version, even if the only change is a publisher name on a title screen.
  2. Remember watching him on TV when I was a kid.....and oh man my grand parents hated that show lol. Than just 4 or 5 years ago I was shocked when I realized he played Penguins father in Batman Returns.
  3. I've already phased a little out, mostly the gamecube stuff since now most of the games I enjoy on it are available elsewhere. One part that slows me down is that its a hassle to list the stuff, and I also remember the hassle of collecting it all, part of me thinks its throwing that work away, the other part of me thinks it does me no good sitting here when someone else can enjoy it.
  4. I was pretty bummed when Cody didn't win it at Mania. They had an awesome story built and it ended with a fart.
  5. I know....sell the collection? Sacrilege! Hear me out...... My favorite SNES game is likely Chrono Trigger. Back when I bought it, I paid around 30 dollars. It now goes for 150 to 200. And I don't even play it on my SNES! The past few times I replayed it, it was the Steam version, just because I liked the idea of cloud saves. I also played it on my modified SNES classic. That's just one game out of over a thousand. And I find this with most games I wanna play, I usually don't prefer to play on original hardware these days because other ways are more convenient. And I have tons of games just taking up space in storage now. A part of me wants to sell it all now for a large payday, another part of me wants to wait and see if the prices are more insane 25 years from now when I am approaching my retirement age. Does any one else have this conundrum or is it just me?
  6. Not sure if anyone here remembers me, I posted a bit back on the old forum. I think I was Leathco there as well though, I can't remember for sure though!
  7. Hi! I''m an old school guy that used to be on NintendoAge a bit back in the day. Man, things changed! Still got my old NA T-Shirt though! Anyways, trying to get some more listeners on my unique take on a retro gaming podcast I like to call Afterglow. In this show I try to focus more on my personal memories of the game instead of just reviewing the game, although sometimes I'll discuss some gameplay as well. I liken it to the idea of those cartridges in our collection telling a story with the rental stickers, names written on them in sharpie, things like that. I also wanted to take the podcast idea and shorten it a bit. Most of the podcasts I listen to range an hour or more. I took a different route, aiming for short 15 minute episodes, with listeners choosing to either binge multiple episodes or just take one short one in. So, if you're bored and want to listen to a middle age man talk about old video game memories (who wouldn't?) I hope you take the time to listen to a few episodes and reminiscence with me! And I'll try to explore the forums here a bit more too, glad to see a lot of the old school NA members still keeping it alive! https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/afterglowshow
