I have been doing a bunch of work to the closet but have not been sharing. It was a lot of trial and error with building the remaining shelves. There was a lot of “if I just move this shelf 2 inch’s I can fit more games and boxes in” so I would have to rework stuff tweaking over and over. It was a slow process but necessary.
There was this very old 70’s stereo cabinet I just didn’t have the heart to get rid of. So I incorporated it into the setup. It was my parents originally then my older brother used it in the basement in the 90s. He spray painted it with a special paint. I then got it from him for my gaming setup back in the 2000’s. I actually had a mini bar in it during my early 20’s ha ha. (I have pictures of that somewhere). It’s old and beat up a bit but I reinforced it the best I could. It literally fit perfect. Like an 1/8th to spare! Was meant to be.
Here is the final installation of the shelves. I will have to paint it all now. The lights are temp for now, I had to rework and upgrade my power supply to accommodate the additional lighting.
More to come.

Man, that is/was one kick-ass room! Pretty much everything in that room is 80's & 90's kewl! Did you get that SNES sign from Mike in Calgary?
Oh, and MAJOR +1 for the CRT!!! Flatscreen NES gamers are a sham!
Thanks man. But it’s long gone ha ha. I took really good pictures of it before I started to bust it down.
I still use that tv to this day! It’s a beautyI got that sign from a dude on NA many years ago.

That would be my glow in the dark WCW NWO blanket. Still use it almost everyday

Is that sound monitor hooked up to your TV? I hope so. I'd chill in my gameroom with the title theme to Batman pumping extra loud!
It was, ha ha. I had a full PA system down there. I ended up trading it to @Krunch many moons ago for a bunch of CIB NES games!
Here is a picture with the console/mixer.

Are you looking to play European Vampire Killer or the Japanese Vampire Killer? European/Middle Eastern MSX's would run at 50hz and Japanese at 60hz, so unless you're intentionally about the slow mo life, a Japanese MSX2 2+, or Turbo-R is the way to go.
https://www.ebay.ca/itm/363695933834?epid=9035617381&hash=item54adf7898a:g:IrwAAOSwr85h57HS
Would this be the model you recommend?

Very vague topic title I know but I am looking to purchase a MSX2. Interested mainly playing Vampire Killer/Castlevania. I have done this all before to play Rondo of Blood, I purchased a Turbo Duo just to be able to play it on original hardware.
I am not very familiar with the MXS2 at all so I figured I would ask her to get some info on which model to get. There are so many different models on eBay for all kinds of pricing.
Any MSX2 master on here that can steer me in the right direction?

Greetings, I am looking to trade this 2011 PS3 Twisted Metal Ice Cream Truck promo display piece. It is incomplete due to missing the guns and a piece of the bumper.
Looking to trade for other promo pieces or merchandise. I prefer items from 1985-1999 but will consider all. Also interested in all official Castlevania items.
Not looking to sell atm, I have no idea on price but will entertain offers if you are that interested.

A bunch of new updates for the closet over the past few days.
I put wood filler putty that’s for laminate around the pieces I fit in. Blends in better. Good enough
Then I completed the right side for shelf. Each shelf is a custom measurement to accommodate the larger boxes I will be putting in there. All the materials used are recycled from materials I had already.
I just got home from the hardware store with the remaining materials needed for the next section. Dam, this stuff is not cheap! Oh well it will be worth it.
More to come..

I don't know why anyone went after them NFT's when the Limited Run Castlevania Requiem Fan Bundle dropped the same day! If only the Konami Shop had physical art prints of some of those images...

8-Bit Music Theory: This is a guy who knows his music theory and completely nerds out on game music. I understand maybe 10% of what he says but I usually learn something about game music and why certain OSTs or music mechanics strike me a certain way
So far out of all the channels suggested this is one I have been binging so far. Very interesting to me. I do play guitar so its so interesting to see what scales the composers use. Highly recommended for video game music lovers!!

This is me from a while back. The last pictures of myself in my old game room in the old house! I guess I kinda look the same. Its the only COOL picture I have of myself. I mean I'm holding an empty Gluten Free beer bottle right after filling my mug!

We purchased a collection of Wisdom Tree, Color Dreams source code, Floppy Mastering Disks (retail,) VHS promo tapes, transparencies, and a few other things early last year.
Curious which source code discs you got. I purchased a few directly from Brenda like 10 years ago. Along with numerous other Wisdom Trees items.

Other stuff would be Ganon in Ocarina of Time, All Ghillied Up, Metal Gear Rex and Liquid, The End, anything from the God of War games, and on and on.
I would have to agree on Ganon from OOT, the first time playing that was beyond epic.

Without putting to much thought into it, I really loved the Boss Anchortus in Mega Man Zero. It was very difficult but worth the stress.

Edit - I hope resurrecting old threads is not frowned upon here, let know if it is.

Looks good. I did the same exact thing to my game room closet, even though its much smaller.
Thanks man. I still got a ways to go yet. I needed to fix the floor where the old shelf sat. It was a little time consuming and a bit of a challenge since I only have a hand saw ha ha. Had to cut 3/4” thin pieces to slot in the holes. Still need a little more work before this part is done.
