  1. Hey guys! So I was in a car wreck last week and can't leave the house. It's been super hard for me to focus on games so I downloaded Minecraft for something relaxing to play. Anyine have any cool worlds here? I would love to see them!

A fine idea, but one thread may not be enough since there are thousands of trophies and achievements across PS and Xbox systems.  There are forums dedicated to just trophy/ach. discussion for every game, plus a thread in each game subforum for people looking to boost particular trophies.  I used to use them quite a bit back in the PS3 era when I was more of a trophy whore and met a few cool players that way.

You may know all this already, so not trying to shit on the thread.  Good idea, but you may have more success boosting achievements on a forum like that.

I don't think it will explode into a crazy thread here. I would just rather try to help out people here versus the achievement sites if I can and if others want to join in they are more than welcome. I just feel like (and I'm guilty of this) all non Nintendo consoles get forgotten.

Some pre-orders finally all arrived (was waiting due to shipping consolidation) as did a small batch of things that went to my US box.

My Mom just sort of annexed my copy of Death Squared (super addicted, lol), so I had to replace it with another 😉 I've been jazzed to play Record of Lodoss War (the first time I saw it in action, I had to do a double take because I was like "New Castlevania...!?!"). As for the Darkstalkers Fighting Collection (might as well be...all 5 games = AWESOME!) and Pocky & Rocky: great value for what both have on offer, and all the additions to P&R make seem to be making for a pretty definitive experience!

BitHead1000 had a video recently where he played Sword of Vermillion, it looked cool, so I managed to find a copy w/ the strategy book for $18. I realized while going through things that I never got Evolution 2 to go with the first game, so I rectified that (it seems that a lot of people find the Evolutions games boring...I'll have to check that out and see for myself), and my brother game me Persona 2 and Sekiro since he was clearing out a whole bunch of games. (He figured he'd give me Persona 2 since my LE is still sealed...just haven't gotten to it yet 😕)

I finally got Poképark 2 for my wife since I bought her the first game back in the day but forgot to pick up the second when it came out, and I thought - for years - that I had picked up Wario: Master of Disguise but recently released that wasn't so.

Most importantly of all though was a Father's Day gift from my wife and kids. I love Horizon - everything about it - and so, when I found out there would be a Tallneck Lego set, I was over the moon. I planned on picking it up later this summer, but they surprised me with this and it was truly a touching moment. My daughter and I built it together, and it went right in the main game room on display in place of my Mega Man set-up; I am a massive fan of all things Mega Man, but this kindness from my family means the world to me.

All the best to the VGS folks out there, and thanks for looking!

Make sure that light is non UV. It will discolor the Legos incredibly fast if it is!

hahah I love the huge inhaling kirby. What is that yellow hardhat? Nice setup

The inhaling Kirby is a cat bed for our smallest cat ironically named Kirby (not intentional at all).

The hard hat is a promo item from Super Mario Builder. There is a Luigi version too!

I would actually prefer doing it by congressional district (plus the two at-large votes going to the overall state winner) IF they did away with gerrymandering and had a proper bi-partisan committee draw up the districts.

Almost like non-politicians could fix politics 🤔

This would never have happened if three of Supreme Court justices were selected by presidents that won the most votes.

Edit: Matter-of-fact when will the Supreme Court be overturning the electoral college since it's not in the Constitution? Someone file an amicus brief, I'll hold my breath.

We don't need to overturn the electoral college, we need to correct it. It shouldn't be an all or nothing game. Number of votes in each state should be split by percentagrs and the electoral votes should be applied in that matter, there are already a few states that do this.

While I don't agree with a lot pf people where I live about politics, I also don't want the 3 largest cities in America controlling what happens in rural America...

  7. Short answer is no.

Back in the last recession I used to flip Lego sets. When everyone lost their jobs and houses is when I had my best months in sales. People can't afford to go out and spend money on things, so they buy things they can "do at home". Video game prices didn't go down then.

This time it could honestly be worse. A lot of the other millennials I work with my age don't own houses or have their cars paid off and are in serious debt. I've heard a few of them say if they start not being able to afford things they would max out a few credit cards in collectables, file bankruptcy since they don't own anything, then sell the stuff when it's worth money. Extremely stupid idea, but these are the same people that bought GME and Doge and keep saying they won't make student debt payments. A lot of my friends hear the same things at their jobs...so as long as people are buying and holding on to stuff the market will increase regardless of the economy. Just my hot take.

  8. For me since I completed my N64 and Pico sets (and accidentally a Wii U set), I would have to say my current active goals:

    1. Japanese N64 CIB

    2. NES (if I get lucky on SE 🤣)

    3. SNES

and sets I would be interested in:

I would love a full Dreamcast set just to play them all before disc rot kills them. Sega did a terrible job making these discs...

I would also love to go for a PAL N64 CIB set but I don't think I will ever have the time nor money to do so. Maybe Brazilian and Korean? Who knows...

  9. Finally upgraded the modern TV stand in the game room and moving the old one to our future in home gym (plan on playing the old Xbox One while on the bike/treadmill).

    Next project: Retro TV stand

Anyone have suggestions on hiding cables?
