I think we need to do a metal band next week. The question is, do I do one that is too heavy for you pussies, too weird for you pussies, too Fred Durst for you pussies, or too awesome for you pussies?
I promise to never call anyone a pussy anymore too
I think you go too heavy. Don’t worry I’ll make sure to shit on it and tell you to go back to hot topic.

Would probably have to be a 4 player MAME cabinet with all the trimmings.

Disposable razor. If I’ve got a little extra time (which I rarely do) I’ve got a safety razor I’ll use.

It is...I believe the French term is...bullshit.
Do you also put magic rocks on your forehead and sniff sticks? I hear smelling rose petals keeps the plague away. Don’t let them get you with their evil vaccines and science. My dog got the rabies vaccine and now he’s autistic.

Either the Final Fantasy 7 remake or Cyberpunk 2077. I normally don’t do full price (I did for Dragon Quest XI) but I think both of these are gonna go that way. It’s been a long time since I really anticipated anything gaming wise other than the aforementioned Dragon Quest.

next week's topic:
"Is playing a game with the sound turned on cheating?"Not cheating but discouraged. Actually a much more interesting topic. Games that don’t require the sound are the perfect time for some awesome tunes. To this day in my mind the soundtrack to Duke Nukem Total Meltdown is ReLoad.
Of course in game items aren’t cheating. Is using the sword in Zelda cheating?

I do push pull split myself, mon tues thurs fri with Wed as rest. When my kids were in the baby phase there would be lots of 2 or 3 day weeks instead of 4, but once they're sleeping I was able to get back in the groove. In and out in 45 mins but I keep the socializing in check.
Its doable just gotta get back in the groove...
Yeah, getting back in the groove and getting over those initial DOMs has really been the toughest part for me.
I do have a basement setup so socialization isn’t an issue but with limited equipment I lose a lot of time having to rearrange my setup for different exercises. Bench to incline bench to overhead press to upright row for example is a total time sink. I think if I get back in my best bet will be body part split. I’m not above picking one movement and just hammering away at it for a whole workout.

I’m so out of shape. Before the kid I was lifting 4 - 5 times a week. Now it’s more like every 4 or 5 weeks. Was working on pull/push/legs split. I liked being able to hit my pull/push 2x a week but I was kind of struggling to keep the workout length reasonable. I’d started working towards lower weight w/ more reps (the heavy low reps was starting to really wear on my joints anyways) which helped with rest periods but that damn push day is still unwieldy.
Anyway, I’m currently struggling to get back on it. The old lady keeps telling me I should just try doing 20 min sessions to get something in and I agree but I have a hard time doing that once I get started.

Mandatory post quota thread? The more the merrier. Honestly I want to talk about Star voyager and I don’t care about your Japanese Saturn games.
Also, I appear to be one of the few that managed to snag Dave Chappelle tickets at a show that sold out in just over an hour. Envy me please.

Honestly I only open games that are worth a bit. I clean contacts but I’m not sure I see the point usually or have the nerve to hose my boards down with 409. There’s no profit in faking games below a certain price threshold so I don’t worry about it.

So, my little boy got ahold of the PS4 controller and I came home from work to this purchased and downloaded on my system. I definitely didn’t intend on buying this for full price but I guess sometimes you get surprise Xmas present. I’m only a couple of hours in but I am enjoying it. It’s pretty excessive with the cutscenes. Just let me play the damn game. It is finally starting to open up and let me explore a little. I like it so far.

While everything you mention after the bold is true, none of it negates the need for a battery save. The length of the game alone is more than enough to justify a battery save.
Warp whistles are great for creating short cuts, but they are not an alternative for battery saves.
The lack of a battery save was a cheap way of cutting costs and nothing more.
I don’t know about that. I never had an issue just warping to whatever level I left off at. It’s not like there’s any real sort of personalization of a given playthrough other than what items you happen to collect. And real men don’t need those. Other than tanooki and hammer bros suits. Everyone needs those.
