  1. Well, this is interesting. Never heard of this before, and have no idea whom the seller is. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Revenge-of-the-Bird-King-x2-a-rare-and-fraudulent-release-by-LIMITED-RUN-GAMES/123998662911
  2. So LRG has published around 350 games. If you assume about 4000 copies per game (might be a bit more overall, but this is a rough estimate) then they have released around 1.4 million copies. If you search for "Limited Run Games" on ebay you find about 9000 entries. So that means that about 0.64% (less than 1%) of copies are being sold on the secondary market. I'm sure if you add other markets it will be higher, but certainly in agreement with TDIRunner who says it's just a "small percentage". Again, no one is forcing anyone to purchase LRG, but I for one, am very happy they provide the service they do and will continue to support them.
  3. ^Nice! After a hard day's work of playing some 8-bit games (always loved the cover art by the way) the cats decide it's high time to take a nap... ah, what a life
  4. Ah, that too is interesting and a whole other thread... the thing is, I think most of us would agree that video games are an artform. Of course, you could always argue what is art, but invariably much of art gets one to think or look at things differently. While I'm definitely against blatant propaganda, I have no problem with exploring different viewpoints. For example, I loved playing Life is Strange Before the Storm where you play as a gay young woman who is battling high school blues and exploring life... it was fabulous! If we lived in a world where people stifled such creativity, we may never have gotten such a wonderful game. And you know what, I'm willing to bet that the vast majority of people that played Life is Strange, were neither gay nor young women, and that shouldn't matter one bit.
  5. That's too bad you feel that way. I really am sorry when just having a LGBT character in a game bothers someone so much.
  6. Well, a lot of games have LGBT characters in them today, and I personally don't see a problem at all with it. In the USA about 4.5% of the population is LGBT, or roughly 1 in 20 people. This shouldn't bother anyone.
  7. I'm sure you're right. I've often wondered, what percentage of sales are fake? I've never found any statistics on those, but I suspect it would be surprisingly high.
  8. Will you look at this... I found three sellers doing this Don't get me wrong, I understand collecting, and appreciating in value. However, I find this behavior disreputable to say the least. I mean, if people knew they could support LRG directly and get the game for 35% cheaper, why wouldn't they??
  9. As far as I know, ALL LRG games come with manual (note, the very first one, Breach & Clear, on the Vita did not). I really appreciate that these games come with manuals, and I'm personally willing to pay a bit more to have an actual manual, something that is lacking in today's AAA games.
  10. Of course to be fair, it was inspired by the old greats like Baldur's Gate, Ultima, Might and Magic... and now Larian is working on Baldur's Gate III -- which I do believe will be one of the greatest RPG experiences of all time!
  11. I don't usually double-dip in games, but might in this case. One of the best RPGs of all time...
  12. Available for trade, or $50 shipped in the USA. SOLD
  13. You and I both. I personally have never seen the appeal to MMOs, but to each their own. Oh, and even if you really like them, how the hell do you end up spending a million dollars???!!!!
  14. The music album will not be a CD, right? I mean, it would be amazing if it was... and I would be happy to pay to have a physical CD, just saying
  15. https://kotaku.com/man-spends-1-4-million-on-game-character-which-his-fr-1840027912 Quite amazing that we live in an age when people can spend millions of dollars on a video game, and yet the median income worldwide is $10,000.
  16. Not sure what is up with Tetris Effect. When I first saw it I did not know it was already available. So, not sure what the deal is with that. Most of their releases are a one-time physical release and not available otherwise. As for Night Trap, it was only available through LRG.
