  1. Not exactly what you're going for... but I hit up a new Game Store in Campbell CA the other week.

The first floor of the building is a "barcade" called LVL Up: https://www.yelp.com/biz/lvl-up-campbell-2

The second floor has another arcade / game space (expansion of the bar?) as well as a new retro game store, "The Retro Fix": https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/502790810318085/

While I haven't been there to experience the night life, the Retro Fix owner tells me that it's a pretty chill place.  I hope it does well, seems pretty great and I grabbed a handful of eagerly-wanted NES titles on my first and only visit.

So it's not quite the one-stop shop that you wanted, but it's pretty damn close.

Not eBay...Just ordered a 135lbs cocktail arcade table. Upwards of 1200$ For this machine. I found a flash sale for 99$ free shipping!!!!!! At135lbs!!!!! That’s a crazy deal. 60/1 coin op.

Either I scored big time or it’s the craziest 99$ scam ever. Has tracking being updated regularly tho....🤞

That’s a hell of a deal. That 60 in one Jamma has its flaws but is a very popular one. The board alone costs half of what you paid. Very jealous assuming it actually arrives

I thought of that since I never had an Atari 2600 as a kid. When I did get one, most of the games were "hidden gems" to me because I hadn't ever played them. They probably don't qualify since they aren't totally obscure, but Frostbite, Tapper and HERO were three of my less common favorites.

Same here, should have added that... I didn’t have any Atari co soles growing up.

  4. Atari 2600 by and far. As I get older, with more familial obligations, the quick nature of early 8-bit games meshes best with what limited free time I have.

While there are a lot of stinkers on the console, the library is HUGE and there are some truly amazing titles, even outside of the obvious Activision releases.

Which is totally understandable but he was seeing a different tim than everyone else was. I've got nothing bad to say about minusworlds.

That was my impression as well. And please know that I wasn't trying to disparage MinusWorlds by calling him out like this.

Others sung his praises too, but those seemed mostly limited to the few that got freebies from him.

Yeah, someone called him out on his random postings, like, "Why do you post this shit?" Not those exact words, but that was the tone.

Natty was a little weird, but mostly harmless. He was that guy who tried to strike up a conversation about anything just to get people talking. Every large forum has one of those.

Not to mention our resident "old head". He was a great guy to have around.

  7. I figured it was a tightly-guarded secret, as many sellers would refuse gift / family payments because they didn't think they could print shipping labels at reduced rates without a sale.

Glad to hear that the word is spreading. Receiving packages from VGS buddies and seeing that they paid USPS counter rates is... painful.

  8. Amazing to hear about this. Was a big fan of the PC version, though somehow it's no longer in my Steam account or otherwise on my PC.

Hey, nice username card barrels! It shows you care, if only the other schmucks playing in the contest could pump up their gear like that, the world would be a better place!

It’s in a plastic self-standing protector too... mostly because I can’t stand things touching my TVs, lol (wii sensor bar obviously excluded)

Today I'd imagine that some could be rather rare.

i agree on this point. I get genuinely excited when I come across them.

That being said, unless they have particular games on them (I never remember the big ones), the value doesn't follow the rarity. I always assume $10-$30 for NES bootlegs, personally never paying more than $20.
