I agree with the forced tutorial parts in the menu. Fortunately, a decent bit into the game, that stops completely and you are just left to play and explore on your own. It's a long enough game that now that stuff feels sorta like a distant memory.
But yes, I understand the feeling and I find it odd they forced the menus and such like that.
That’s good to hear. I will keep going.
I like all the others, just the forced tutorials have really been bugging me. -
I have been trying to play 3. All the hand holding and 30 minute cut scenes are really killing my enjoyment.
With 2 all the new mechanics/ systems had a few screen explanations then you could figure the rest out by yourself.3 gives you a 10 minute cut scene talking about it. Then slowly walks you through the menus step by step.
5/10 so far, I will try to push through to see if it gets better.
For reference 2 and X are my favorites. Torna was a good extension of 2.

It is a solid 8/10. I still enjoy going back to it every so often. Not near as good as Double Dash though.

Recently my go to games have been PS2 era RPGs or Elderscrolls/Fallout. Games that have a story but not overly long cut scenes. Unlike a modern JRPG that has a 15+ minute scene about how the cooking mechanic works like Xenoblade 3.
The PS2 era games still had an older feel but with more conveniences, better save systems. So I can play in shorter chunks.

Baldur’s Gate Dark Alliance 2 on Xbox. That is the last one I remember renting anyways.

@Jeevandude, it’s summer. Between the job and working on the property I haven’t had much time for gaming. I will get on something eventually.

Found a nice haul yesterday @MegaMan52. I found these in my dad's garage!
They were mine, I knew they were there, so it's not a surprise, just sharing
Total of 67 Sealed figures, i think, and the 3 die cast micro machines. All the opened ones were dupes of the sealed!
Nice, Power of the Force 2 collection!

We are close to halfway. We are at 136. I hit a wall on mario golf, so I will try something else.

I played through both Castlevania games recently. The castle gates and clock tower level are mostly platforming, with a few fights thrown in.

8/10. It is just as good as Melee.

SNES was when I got into RPGS. They are also some of my favorites. FFII, Mario RPG, and Chrono Trigger. Secret of Evermore is pretty high up there too.

It is a Doom clone. So find the different colored keys to unlock the doors, massive guns. Then every level is a maze, some times frustratingly so. But fun overall.

Yeah, I know that's brutal. Any clue what their rates of pulling them are? Have those details ever been posted?
There is a lot of speculation, but I haven’t seen much solid data. Here is an example of detail people go into to unlock blades.

No. The newest Xbox (series x, series s) is backwards compatible all the way back to the 360 with a significant amount of the library available, as well as ~40 original Xbox games also able to be played. Get that.

Depends on how good your internet is. The internet in the backwoods has data caps still, and the download is from a server not off the disc. Making the original the better option.
