Also, the one person who has the 9.8 CIB snes Zelda Link to the Past has to be a time traveler.

He frankensteined that together.  I believe I had a 9.2 LTTP with a 9.8 component (Manual or cart? Can't remember) and he traded me a 9.6 for my 9.2 straight up to get the component so he could marry his other 9.6 into a 9.8.

We'll both have the 2 first print Mario World 9.4 CIBs as well and one could be married up to a 9.6 in a similar fashion.  I'm going to be holding out on that one though.

  2. THere was a case of MM3 NP mags on ebay earlier this year, I was the under bidder.  Think it was about 12 to a case and went around $300 but my memory may be off.  So I'd expect 12 9.0 or higher copies coming out which is a lot for CGC NP mags because the demand outside of the first few issues drops off sharply.

A couple of years ago I noticed "entire libraries" of games available online disappear in the blink of an eye.  For example, Game Gear CIBs:  As a game gear fan, I used to enjoy scrolling through hundreds of inexpensive CIBs on Ebay and elsewhere, and it all went poof over night.

Shameless self plug, but I actually have a couple of CIB Game Gear and Sealed Game Gear games ending Sunday!  Haha...

  4. Forum traffic was dying significantly on NA before it perished and it just will continue to happen in general.  Social media is the scapegoat but even Facebook traffic is way down as kids find the next thing (Tik Tok?)

If you're under 25 I doubt you use forums at all.  And conversely as people age a lot find other things to do with their time besides post.  It's a catch-22.

  5. I still have never bought any crypto but this is nothing new.  Just go back in history and you see the pattern repeats itself.  When it gets to a nearly flat period where no one is talking about it then it's close to finally turning.

In 2013 BTC went from $100 to $1000 in a month, then a slow 2 year decline where it bottomed out around $250.

Recovered to $1000 around 2017 then ran to $20,000 within a year.  Then next year a steep sell off until bottoming around $3,000.

Chopped around a little bit then this run started from about $10,000 in Oct 2020 to a peak around $69,000 in Nov 2021, basically a year run.

So what happens?  Probably another 18 month - 2 year decline to around $7500 - $12.5k range.  Picking the bottom is impossible but you're one year into it and probably have at least 6 months to go.  Good luck.

I just have a lot of anxiety over something this expensive, if there was some "magical" (😎) way to know the box and everything was all good I'd feel better, I know people here say don't worry but I just don't know what they do to make sure it's not a repro. I mean hell the repro I have looks nice and if the difference is 5k for that box, I just want some idiot proof method to know I guess lol.

I don't usually get jittery on this stuff, just this is likely the most ill ever spend and I'm def worried. It'll arrive tomorrow though!

It would be extremely obvious if the tray weren't included, the items would just rattle around.  You have no reason to worry about a repro.

Anyone else think the WATA cases are significantly uglier than the current ones?!

The slim fit was a must and long overdue.  I also complained about horizontal facing Wata cases on SNES / N64 at release, glad to see that change implemented.  I suspect they'll find a way to fill in the white space.

Also, as with every change in almost everything ever, people complain at the beginning and then get used to it (no offense to anyone).  I hated the Wata tank cases at first / permanent vertical orientation but it grew on me.  I thought the CGC case looked way too bland but it's grown on me a little as well.

Humans by nature are resistant to change.

That's first print vs GOTY.  It's like Player's Choice vs. original release.  One is junk and one is collectible.  That 9.0 A Halo would be lucky to pull even half that price today though.

That's incredibly weird, why wouldn't they just show all games to everyone? What's the point?

You can only see the items that ship to your location.  A lot of US sellers only ship to USA so a those results won't appear on ebay.ca.  It would be a lot worse if you constantly were browsing stuff you couldn't buy anyway.
