Code Monkey | 2,006 Posted May 2, 2021 Share Posted May 2, 2021 No. PSX was the development name for the console so when Namco was developing the game, they were developing it for an unnamed console which Sony temporarily called PSX. It wasn't named PlayStation until after Namco completed development on this game, they weren't going to go back and change it. There is still only one current console named PSX at release and that's a Japanese exclusive console.
