Additionally some small corrections to your list. The US version of "James Pond Crazy Sports" is "The Super Aquatic Games Starring the Aquabats" not "James Pond Aquatic Games". "Eric Cantona Football Challenge" is PAL but it's specific to France. The rest of Europe called it "Striker".

There are some other edge cases too. The Star Fox competition cart got a rename to match it's Pal name: "Star Fox: Super Weekend" / "Starwing Competition". "Tony Meola's Sidekicks Soccer" (US) was not released in Europe but was released in Brazil as "Super Copa". "Kevin Keegan's Player Manager" was not released in the US but in Germany it got renamed to "K.H. Rummenigge's Player Manger".

My source for finding these was Wikipedia, but I verified them with snescentral or when necessary, ebay.

Thanks for all the info, I will add it in. I am doing some PAL collecting right now so I figured it might be nice for other collectors to know the in and outs as well

I need to own a copy of "Sensible Soccer", lol.

This was like the most famous series of football games in the 90s by a long shot. I don't even like these games, and I'm surprised if you haven't heard of this. People are still having regular tournament in these games, and they made a reboot/spiritual sequel game only a few years ago.
I'm also surprised to see it's even been released with a different title (and an incredibly anonymous one, too), which seems like betraying it's own brand.

I could be mistaken, but I think Lost Vikings II: Norse By Norsewest lost its subtitle in the US version, right?
Also, Mickey Mania: The Timeless Adventures of Mickey Mouse doesn't have that subtitle in Europe.

I also think both subtitles only ever appear on the box, so I'm not sure if they count. But the same goes for Flashback I believe.

What exactly is weird in naming Joe & Mac 3 "Joe & Mac 3"? 😛

Normally there’s a 2 between 1 and 3.

In Japan, Congo’s Caper was called Joe and Mac 2.

In USA, Congo’s Caper is still Congo’s Caper, so we solved the problem by changing the 3 to a 2.

....So you're actually in favor of mislabeling sequels (in the vein of King's Field 2, Final Fantasy 3, etc.) rather than using the original title, to ensure continued confusion with localized titles? 😛

If you’re already guilty of changing “Joe and Mac 2“ to Congo’s Caper, then you may as well just stay with it and change Joe and Mac 3 into Joe and Mac 2.

If I grew up in PAL territory with Joe and Mac 1 and 3, I’d be losing my mind wondering why we didn’t get Joe and Mac 2.
